Okay, I’m definitely not a dentist. And most of this is made up. But here’s a vintage Dentist roleplay ASMR! There are lots of delicate sounds, including tapping and scraping, as well as some idle chatter and humming. There’s also lots of up-close, ear-to-ear personal attention with positive affirmations and a I say ‘thank you’ a lot.
Plus, I was surprised, but I found some of the in-mouth teeth scraping sounds weirdly tingly… So, I got a little dopey about halfway through and couldn’t find anything.
All the instruments are from the 50s and I had no idea what a lot of them were, so just made up how to use them - it was fun! And I hope you enjoy it too.

🎙 What is ASMR? 🎧
ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) is synaesthesia of the soul. It’s a relaxing feeling, it’s a tingling down the spine, or it’s simply a sleep aid. Whether it’s being ‘held’ by someone you have confidence in, or ‘looked after’ by someone with authority, or just feeling ‘safe’ with someone you trust, it uses audio-visual triggers to enable you to let go of your worries and stresses - even just for a bit.
📽 What is FPC? 🎞
FPC (first person cinema) takes all the relaxing elements of ASMR but has much more of a focus on immersion and the suspension of disbelief. It’s kinda like being the main character in your own short movie, with popular figures you know and love, or entirely created worlds - just for you. There won’t be any visible mics or traditional triggers in these videos, and they will seem more unintentional than the usual ASMR videos - but they are unique and relaxing experiences designed to transport you to different places, worlds, and times.

ох, завидую вам. А у меня даже зубы мудрости сразу в мои 19, 21 год сломались, приходится выдирать. Так ещё кариес, что один зуб почти полностью переделали, сделали канал и корни (это было невыносимо больно). И у меня были плохие стоматологи, какие-то истерички попадались. И только недавно мне попался милый парень, что как раз похож на каких-то АСМРщиков, мне было так хорошо, что я чуть не засмеялась, когда мне пломбу делал 😂

He is such a gentleman I really love the characters that this guy make

Whether or not the denist drills pulls out or even demolishes your teeth you're bound to forget it in 2 months or I simply don't care for the world anymore most likely the former rather than the latter

I hate dentists in real life but strangely they always give me tingles in ASMR and yours is no exception! Plus I love the grain of this video, feels really vintage :)
Not only his voice but his mannerisms are always so soothing to me 😌 as someone who works in the dental field I definitely learn calming chair side manners from videos like this
Your medical-related RP’s are especially good. I never would’ve thought a trip to the dentist would be *this* relaxing, but this has become a go-to for falling asleep. I think you’ve really nailed the specific way in which ASMR can replicate those Doctor/dentist experiences that were strangely tingly, relaxing & comforting. Thank you!

Don't even need laughing gas for this one! Also, at the beginning when you did that little uncomfortable laugh about going in the person's mouth, I straight up CACKLED. You do the most unintentionally cute, funny, and endearing things 😂
If all my dentist appointments were like this, I would definitely go more often.
This was so amazing. Truly everything you could want from a dentist role play, so gentle and kind. Seeing as you now have these tools, I do hope this isn’t the last we see of our new dentist friend.
Seeing as I have a genuine phobia of going to the dentist this video was a first for me. I was calm and relaxed the whole time.
I think he would be great at a v for vendetta asmr just with his calm soothing voice.

If I was this relaxed at my actual dentists’ I would have started snoring and slid out of his chair. 🤣I really love the up close and personal angle of this video, especially the whole ‘I can hear the funny noises but not see the torture instruments thing’, that’s always a big help. Every time I did feel sleepy though, the noises of your implements made me giggle. I have never had a dentist hide the needle before, they normally have the needle right there in your face.( Pun very much intended) Although, if everybody gave needles like you, "Close your eyes" and done in one second I’d at the dentist every three months instead of every six. As for ‘dentists’ being weird people SJ, I’d like to humbly request we all be made honorary dentists so we all fit in.😉And FYI, I was pretty Impressed with your dad joke actually. @@KiaraMdon’t get me started on the drills, they’re scary af. 😭 I got a cavity once over covid bc I couldn’t go to the dentist and I had to get a needle for numbing and a drill to half the tooth. What made it worse tho was that a student was helping the dentist using one of those things that suck the water out ur mouth and he kept choking me with it. 😭

Мне попался стоматолог в поликлинике, вполне красивый, самое главное, что такой же внимательный и красиво выполнял работу, даже голос похож был, как у одного АСМРщика, тоже вполне так спокойно разговаривал, я безумно была рада, потому что до него обычно истерички попадались, которые вызывали сильный страх.

Our entire family has teeth very prone to literally anything you could imagine so i was introduced to the dentist very young as a precaution so I could be safe and monitored before anything bad happened. I always did like doctors though so I didn't really care or feel scared but my dentist was a wonderful dude from the very beginning! Very funny, always able to reassure and calm you down and honest without making you feel bad. He was very understanding too since some parts of dental/oral care sometimes became difficult to maintain and even when I had to get a root canal procedure I didn't even feel worried. I'd trust him with anything. Of course I cried a little because I did feel a bit of pain despite the anaesthesia (and also felt stuff inside my tooth move) but I never flinched or tried to make him stop. It's so important for doctors, particularly dentists, to be understanding and kind. These qualities don't take away from the professionalism and/or strictness!
I was afraid this was going to be like the dentist from Little Shop of Horrors, but this was very relaxing. Your humming is excellent as well :)

What a nice one on one dental visit. During my visits, I usually have to see the dental assistant and hygienist before I even see my dentist.
I really love my dentist in real life, but he never compares to Jim’s one. Its important to find your comfortable dentist, whom you trust to and be relaxed with, as much as you can… I see all dentists wanted to be singers in the past)

Alas, I’ve only had one dentist who didn’t terrify me, and he retired last year to teach emergency dentistry in another country. He was amazing at his job, but it seems teaching is something he loves more.

My dentist is lovely in real life but he’s not quite as positive as Jim’s. He does notice how nervous I do get tho and will sometimes tell dentist jokes yet still keeping a serious note on any issues I have with my teeth. There’s another lady who makes me nervous and tells me I’ve been brushing wrong all my life bc I got a cavity once over covid. I get that my teeth aren’t sparkling white and flawless but telling me I’ve been brushing wrong all my life simply bc I couldn’t go to the dentist for 2 years comes off as rude and no other dentists I’ve had told me to do anything different except maybe brushing a longer time or recommending a different toothpaste.
I can't even explain how tingly this was. My motor functions are failing because my brain is trying to fall asleep, help please.
All those tools are scary, Jim.😖 But your voice and presence does bring me a sense of calm.

I literally had a dentist appointment Friday last week!!! I never went back because I was done with braces from 3 years ago so this year I went and nothing is wrong with my teeth! Just one cavity haha 😅😅😅 P.S: Jeez I love you so much Jim❤️ I had a fear of Dentists but you are amazing 🤩

I haven't been to a dentist in over a year thanks to PTSD brought on by a crappy dentist pulling my wisdom teeth without being fully numb and no gas or anything but if Jim was my dentist I would definitely be more relaxed and go

@@theeguy9022 Yeah... PTSD isn't just being afraid, it's in the subconscious. It can be flashbacks or just an overwhelming feeling, it's going to take a lot more than "don't let fear rule your life". Sometimes it's not even a terrifying event, just a shocking one.

I have to have all of my wisdom teeth removed and I’m terrified!!! I have a fear of going under anesthesia! Although I love this video! So relaxing and calming.

I have a long and storied history with the dentist. I’ve heard every bad joke imaginable, and that one wasn’t nearly as bad as it could have been. (Confession: I did boop your nose a couple times when you got a little close. I always do, and I’m not sure why. Boop! There I go again.😁😅)

Ah dentist, I wasn't afraid of going to them and had my wisdom teeth hammered off but I tremble everytime I think of drilling into my teeth!
