Blacksmithing - In this video I am forging a viking pendant, Skidbladnir, the best ship in norse mythology. This is the ASMR version without talking.
My name is Philip and I'm a blacksmith based in Sweden. This is how I forge my viking long ship pendants.
About Lufolk:
I have always been interested in the simple things in life. When I look back in history i gets inspired and fascinated by the people who came up with all the smart solutions to make our everyday life easier. It's impressive what you can accomplish with few tools and great skill. The first time I got that feeling, like wow I made this, this will be useful, was when I as a kid made a wooden spoon. And think that was the start, I have ever since been interested in making things. You can see more of my work on my website or on my Instagram:

    Great video! Loved the technique! Great way to use the remaining part of the material instead of tongs! Quite a tricky project! Thank you for sharing! Tack!

    This is awesome! The way you got this shape is so interesting I’ve never seen a technique like that. Did you come up with it or did you learn it from someone?

    I have a question, are you hardening your pendants? and what treatment for rust?

  • @lufolkcrafts

    @lufolkcrafts

    Жыл бұрын

    I'm not hardening them, i use linseed oil to prevent oxidation. On these smaller pieces i use to dip the whole piece in oil while it's around 300 Celsius, then it get the black color as well.
