Another asmrtist I follow used software to do this with a stationary camera and mic. I was disappointed by that, knowing how Heather utilizes actual location and sometimes video to effectively execute it. I’m so happy these videos are still here.

I think what a lot of newer "anticipatory" trigger videos miss out about this is the lack of a visual element. There's really no anticipation if I can see that they're about to speak. Part of why this video works so well is the element of surprise. You are truly one of the most revolutionary and influential asmrtists out there

The sound clarity and CLOSENESS of the whispers are insane!!! You can’t find this kind of quality easily!!

I stumbled onto ASMR randomly and thought it was a load of bunk. I used to need to fall asleep to white noise, or the sound of thunderstorms and rain, and even then it was unconsciousness without rest. Since discovering your channel I've gotten the first truly relaxing sleep I've had in close to a decade. I can't possibly thank you enough and will continue to support through Patreon for as long as you continue to do this! My only comment is that I notice you often say things like 'Don't be afraid' or 'Don't worry, this won't hurt' or when moving closer to the mic or talking about completely harmless things. I find that to be oddly jarring - why would I suddenly be worried about pain via audio, especially when I'm so relaxed - and I often wonder if this is because a large part of your audience also have have difficulty 'feeling comfortable' when letting go and listening. I'm reminded of one of the collective videos where you made kissy noises and prefaced this by saying 'it's for your ASMR and NO OTHER REASON.' The idea that you respect our safety and boundaries is something we already know, and it's a bit of an odd thing to be constantly reminded about. Either way, thank you and I hope that you manage to see this. I can't express in words how much you've improved the quality of my live through something so unexpected as this.

I think it's because heather wants to make it feel like you are in a room with her and she is making you relax. Think it like that and saying "don't worry" etc. doesn't sound so weird. This is kinda a roleplay kinda asmr video. But there are asmr videos where the person is just talking about stuff like in a Vlog but so that it has Asmr, and in those there is no "it won't hurt" lines.

I myself have a hard time with some of the role play videos, I have to force myself to get past the cheese factor. And while I too sometimes find the "don't worry" or "this won't hurt" a little funny, I try to associate it with her overall heart towards us. She offers an amazing service that isn't just mechanical, it is also intuitive, empathetic and nurturing....the mother ease "you're safe" just seems like a natural part of her process when investing herself into connecting with us. Instead of being put off by it I have tried to associate it with a sign of her overall sweet and caring personality that comes acrossin her videos. I only just stumbled upon ASMR videos by accident less than a year ago while looking for some white noise to sleep to. I was amazed at how well they worked and how they could make me tingle on purpose and not just on occasional accident. You Heather and Waterwhispersilsa are my two favorite ASMR Artists, thank you so much for taking the time to do what you do.

Some people are triggered by nurturing. There are tons of teacher, or mothering type asmr rp videos. I always assumed she used specific phrases like "don't worry" etc to not only make us feel more relaxed but to play in to the nurturing trigger.

Life finds a way, eh? :P I say those things because I know sometimes people are uncomfortable with role plays, so I try to reassure them it's okay to be watching and "interacting" one on one with me. I also do it because there are people (like me) who never shut off and are always on guard---be it from something in their life, or memories in their brain. So I try to take them out of those spaces and into the "world" I create for them, and I want them to know that it's okay for them to be here, and that they don't have to worry about me doing anything that will cause them further stress or harm. I suppose it might sound odd, but some people need to be told they can relax before they can relax. I am just trying to help :)

Man, I'm so glad I got my tingles back. When I first discovered your channel (and ASMR videos in general) a few months ago, I binged on so many videos that I built up an immunity quickly. Heather has this mystical mysteriousness about her that makes her a true artist. Every video I watch of hers is a unique experience that she beautifully articulates. Heather is one of the most relaxing ASMR creators by far. Massage ASMR, GentleWhispering, and Heather are some of the truly masterful ASMR artists.

Same, I don’t know if it was good anxiety or bad anxiety.

This gave me amazing tingles, and I don't usually get any. EDIT ITS FROM 8 YEARS AGO?! THE QUALITY SOUNDS SO MUCH NEWER

This is the kind of ASMR that I've been looking for, but I seem to be having the hardest time finding. Not the anticipation part, but the direction thingy. Like how the Virtual Barbershop dictates where he's moving around you, and it makes it so much more real

i’ll always come back to this video every month or so

This is not only wholesome as hell but gave me massive tingles down my neck and back

Why does no one use the 3dio as intended like heather does here? For a 3D effect. Everybody so busy stupidly licking them ears, nobody knows what they are capable of. Heather needs to start an asmr school.

I never heard anticipatory asmr before I found this video, I never found any better since. And I love the simplicity, and the riddles.

I’ve never had more tingles in my life, loved this video

we need more of this in the asmr community. like i cant describe this, but this is a pure evolution of asmr and its incredible.

This is the single most tingle-inducing asmr video I’ve ever watched

This asmr was ahead of its time. I yet have to experience a asmr video as good as this one

Far easier to relax without anything to look out. The best tingles I've had since I first started watching these videos!

Wish we could get a new circle time 🙃, I haven’t found anyone that does it like Heather. The movement and surprise/anticipation is very important.

Is it just me, or is ASMR from 8 years ago so much superior to recent ASMR in terms of sound quality?

yes same here im on that binaural grind right now. 3dio mics also have that option although no one is using it in that way wich is sad to see

People stopped using binaural mics. Sad because I feel it added so much to the effect 😔

There is just more people just chase trends now and have less passion and thought towards asmr :/
