Yeah, I knew there was a reason why I was distrusting of Facebook and Twitter (especially Facebook and the hashtag system). I was like that back when they were first growing while I was in high school, and it sure as shit is showing right now!

It's hard to imagine that the A.I. will think any less of us normal humans than corporations already do.

That 'fucking dumbass" is pretty much some 10 year old who was given the game by their parent, that didn't expect a fucking video game to be a predator on their children, teaching them take their parents credit cards without them knowing. They are also the easy to exploit and manipulate like the depressed, the addict, and the unconscious spender. It's why I don't play most video games or trust myself with a checking account because it's too easy for me to fall into that trap. It's sad that I'll never get to play WoW or anything else that Blizzard because they are just another exploitation machine.

When I was a kid, some kid's with $100 reebok pumps made fun of other kids with $20 sneakers. Now it's about fortnite skins. Next generation it will be about something else. Kids are assholes. Please parent them so they grow out of it.

Social media integration is easy as fuck from a technical PoV. I liked the corporate bs rippoffs. It remembers me my job in more sane :). Spoiler alert: if you try to sell social media integration to a gaming company, turns out there are good chances that you'd look like a fool; at a point that Asmongold may do a video about you. Mac Connel may even have a take on the subjet.

whales are called whales because they are the biggest "fish in the sea" aka the rich or dumb enough to spend infinite money thats the goal of these games lure in a handful of rich people and exploit their human psychology for infinite profit subs/donators are just a big amount of small fish in comparison still strange they feel the need to donate money to someone that makes as much money in a month than they do in a year

I completely disagree with the video as people prefer to play trendy video games (like fortnite for example) because when they do something rewarding in game (Victory royale; they buy new skins; they have a kill record ...) they share it with people that understand that what they did was cool or different or completionist ect.. and they congratulate them making them feel good about what they did. That is why people play trendy games and not Wow or Poe ect where your achievements dont matter in the eyes of the public because they are not understood. So yeah sharing what you perceive as cool on the internet is very important for some ppl.

This Jimquisition guy is nothing but an outrage monger. He makes some good points about monetary practices but he goes far to drama queen about it. He basically calls everything he doesn't like "Exploitative". Not every person kid or not is some mindless drone that just consumes whatever companies put in front of them, alot of people choose to buy lootboxes or choose to play games with social media intergration as you said. What he (Sterling) takes issue with is that the guy in the seminar is literally telling the people to create an environment were you are abnormal to not spend money on these games. This suddenly has happened to kids in the Fortnite community. He isn't saying games like Fortnite aren't fun or trendy or a good game.
