well not really since WWE is dancing with muscular oily dudes...but u`re right about gladiators killing each others.that almost NEVER happend.a fight would stop at first blood usually.it was a show [ of skill ] where gladiators could win the favor .Back then, the gladiators were the super stars.Even tho they were slaves they lived better lives than most citizens on Rome. there are instances when free ppl tunr themselfs into slaves so they could compete in the gladiatory games.there`s a dude who did it 3 times ! and even a woman .

He surely came from a rich family, and he have the money ... now that he is some big twitch streamer he probably makes 3-4k euros per day. I watched once a stream from him and subscriptions and donations are crazy big. Somone paid 60 euros x2 to play some them song from youtube, so there goes 120 euro plus the rest of donations, he makes thousands of euros daily, any of us would stay home gladly and play 12h wow if we will get monthly atleast 2.000 euros :)) lets be serious now.

@4:30 into it, When we were opening AQ20/40 we had a do the world quest for it...some fuck head in the raid group we were doing killed a NPC in the town that you had to earn rep for to open the gate and all 40 of us lost rep from it and that guy not only got gkicked but every guild that got effected by his actions refused to take him in... it set us back days since we had to regrind rep for it.

I Had rank 14 mage and a rank 13 priest. But you only had to deal with your server in the rankings. It wasn't all cross realm. You basically had to be in the top 3 in your server each week. .

I remember playing in Vanilla WOW on the server Muradin and my friend Thunderelf was a GM and he didn;t have the gold to buy everything he needed.

I got rank 14 in vanilla....I can confirm that you have to play every waking moment possible and I had to fight other pvp'ers for standing because they didn't want to work together to make it faster and easier. It was probably some of the worst times in my gaming experience. It's not worth it in hindsight. It didn't prove I was "the best pvp god", it just proved that I had a shit load of time to dump into pvp.

12 hours is not realistic. The person who got r13 progress (usually 1/4th of the bar per week) vs all the other r13s was the one who had _the most honor_ out of them all. meaning if someone were to play 24/7 and some slept 4hours the one who sneakily grinded constantly either by acc sharing or simply not sleeping could ninja the rank or the progress to rank.. I would know because I did r14..

"that's not even a lot"..... lol

I made rank 13 back in Vanilla and I worked. I could have went for rank 14 but I gave up once I got the gear because raiding weps were better at the time.

gladiators usually didnt die in combat they were expensive they were basically the athletes of those times i dont remeber how the slavery part affected them

In ancient Rome gladiators were professionals, people who wanted that job and signed up for it. Would get payed and live like kings if they owned the arena. On the other hand they also had the slaves play the games, but they were not considered gladiators from the moment they stepped in, only when they earned a name for themselves, there's a lot of slaves that gained freedom and remained as gladiators.

right how many here believe asmon actually did what he says he did in classic? He used to say he barely got 60, then suddenly he said he raided a lot, and now he's saying he also got to rank 12... all by playing 8 hours a day rofl.

I had high gaylord back in the day. It took months of grinding but the respectful laugh emotes from my fellow players made it so worth

Fuck man, I was grinding this when I was like 15. I was rank 10.9999999 I really just wanted my epic mount. My shitbox computer died and I didn't get a new one till like 3 months later. ALL my pvp honor was decimated felt so bad.

I believe many people who didn't actually play in Vanilla seem to forget that if you want to be a top PvPer and compete for those high ranks, you MUST raid in one of your best server's successful raid guilds and be given priority loot.

I got to rank 14, High Warlord. I was on Sargeras at the time (back when it was ruled by horde). It took me 7 months due to a week vacation I had to take, and of course honor decay. We also had a house arrest guy who did not care about the "Warlord Guild" (unofficial non physical group grinding with rank placement) and he was grinding more honor than us. High Warlord taught me that if a person desires something enough and puts in the effort required, that anything is obtainable. I am not sure yet if I will play classic, but I don't know if I could grind High Warlord again. Ran with a Zul Gurub Bat that had a 1.0 sec attack speed and screech, her name was Asuka).

VIDEO IS NOT CORRECT unless you have very specific factors 12 hours is WAAAAAY incorrect, unless your Server (or Battlegroup) is extremely casual. I did this crap, 12 hours constant queuing in BGs and then Saturday and Sunday 18 hours on both days, my server was so active you MAY hit Rank 11. Rank 12-14, if your ACCOUNT (not you personally) are not playing and winning fast in premades 24/7 for 4-5 weeks, possibly 6, you will NOT hit it. Notice I said ACCOUNT, not you personally, I was with these groups and they had a Rank 14 rotation to avoid competition. Still....it took all that time and to avoid IP addresses changing, they would have friends come over and take control. My server was Kel'Thezud, very populated. If you do want this, I recommend Raiding to get the gear or gun for this first thing before the masses Rank 14 grind so you get up there faster. Also try to be on a low population server, it helps drastically. My friend was on Malorne when it went live and they offered transfers for free to lighten the server load. He hit Rank 14 playing only about 18-20 hours a day. Malorne was also a ghost town for the longest. You can go from Rank 1-10 in 2 months playing 5x12 hours and 2x18...again steam rolling battlegrounds with geared people who know how to PvP. Rank 8 is where most tapped out. Rank 10 and up is where pain began. I do feel Asmongold can hit it, because he lives and breaths this enough, he would assemble a solid premade team to go go go, win ASAP in WSG and AB. He will be in pain, he most likely will need another playing the account if he is on a big battlegroup. I do feel Asmongold will warrant enough server respect and SOME of the Rank 14 guys will back off a bit for him to hit it to help out as a Thank You for the content. Rank grinding more so than raiding is how WoW got the nickname Widows of Warcraft. It is why Blizzard altered PvP so much as players were literally rolling at unhealthy levels. With a fulltime job and only focusing on PvP when not at work, I was about 1 day away of PvP from Rank 11, my account was hacked and by the time it restored, I was Rank 7 and no way was I doing that again. I wanted to cap at 11, but whatever. Stay healthy you all!!! And don't forget, you do not keep your highest title, there is not Title tab to keep Grand Marshal enabled all the time if going by Classic Rules, you get the Armor, Weapons, and you will drop fast when you stop, so you may be a Sergent with a Rank 14 sword if you stop totally lol. I'd rather see Asmongold put his energy into Scarab Lord.

Wait till TBC than. PvP is meaningless in Classic. And most importantly - boring. 15 years ago this fact (that pvp is meaningless, well you can kill some horde/alliance player over a weed/ore, but still, compare it to other MMOs, it's still boring and meaningless) make me quit WoW. Than TBC came, I gave this game 2nd chance and fell in love with arena and new pvp system - you get good items cause you play good. From 2007 to 2016 I was touching pve content only if I needed some trinket to pvp more efficient. During Cata-MoP-WoD... Why the fuck I even need to pve? I was just logging in, do arenas with my brother and friend and it was fun (still fun, but I guess we three just got bored from this game, we tried to play at 3.3.5a private servers, MoP, Cata etc. It's all the same feeling.)

You're right for most of the ranking, but for the top ranks some skill and kill speed comes into play. I mean, if you're playing solo and sit in AV all day every day you'll rank up alright, but that won't get you to rank 12+. You'll need an efficient premade that runs WSG better than any other premade on your faction/server.

It still doesn't have the level of cooperation even of an RBG. Unless you run into another premade from another good guild, it's basically the same as mob farming for rep.

playing 12hours per day is fun for younger age gamers (below ~21) , without rest that is, but this is not exactly playing, rather farming sadly, and doing that thing 12 hours per day for 3 months would be first of all extremely will and wish challenging for you, and second tiresome and boresome, I know that because I did exactly same thing in certain game over and over again daily for 6 months, 3 hours per day which is not even close to 12 but 6 months instead of 3.. ,,,, doing exactly same thing over and over again for certain time per day without breaks require a very big will and a very big passion about your goal, it will not feel like gaming, rather you will feel like you are "working". best of luck to anyone who will decide to start it, if you've been doing it for 2 weeks straight and considering to stop - you can, it's not too late yet, however if you already at 3.5weeks+ period then you better don't since you already spent way too much time on it and calling it a quit would make all your spent time pointless. (this applies only to these who wish that rank 14 and only 14.)

i couldnt even play WoW 12 hrs aday back in 2005 when i lived in my pops attic in the country with no car to go anywhere, mabe 8 hrs maximum the odd time 10. I now game everyday but mabe afew hrs at night before bed, mabe an hr before supper time. The only way your playing 12 hrs aday, is with no job, a barrel of strong coffee and about a kilo of crack. Even back in 05 i couldnt do 12 hrs straight. You need money from a job, without it your not having Internet, hydro, game subscriptions and a PC. Working takes all day 5 days aweek at least, and you need decent sleep to continue to do so. I have Always earned and paid for everything i own and never ever had anyone hand me free stuff and i never not even 1 time stole from anyone to get what i want. 12 hrs aday for 3 months is no joke..

8 hours of work a day....12 hours a day playing.....that leaves you with 4 hours of sleep at best a day, and zero time to farm gold to buy the items you want......but yeah....it's not a big deal, seriously? You have to be trolling.

LOL - R14 in vanilla here. 14:21 is so true. It was a MONSTER grind, was literally painful from lack of sleep and lack of being able to get up and move around. This is one of these things where I say fuck you to the #NoChanges crowd. You didn't do it, I did. THIS needs at least a slight nerf in how brutal it is. Also, no matter how hard you go, even if your account was pvping 24/7 you are capped at 12 weeks to get it. better choice IMO is pvp without going crazy to rank 11, let the insane people get rank 14 (as the video says, if 5000 people can get at least 25 kills, then its 15 a week) so like the first 45 or so hardcores get it, then do a hard push. 70 hours/week might make it after 30-60 really hardcore people get it. Also, To the guys saying "I got rank 12/13 I don't need the weapon, I had Ashkandi/Sulf/DEOI" WRONG. 3.8 speed two handers were better, all there is to it. Only MoM (Which I also had) hits harder but it suffers from mace spec, The GM sword could be better if you got a crit and then a lucky sword spec crit for bursting people down. Also, GM long swords were BIS for DW fury until you kill Kel'Thuzad... then the sword has to drop, and then you have to win it.

0,003% from 5000 is not 15... dafuq... is 50 1% from 5000 how can 0,003% be fuckin' 15... XD Its 0.15 bro.. 0.15.... not even one out of 5000 is bracket 14.

Everyone is bad at everything they do in their life but everyone thinks they are the best at everything all the time. Just ask people how good of a driver they are, everyone will say they are good and all I see on the road all day is brain dead shit drivers. It is normal to think you are good at what you do but just know, you are total shit and give up :P

Asmon how the fuc can you still play this game Dude? Its obsolete man. Oh and have you seen what Pantheon looks like now? Most beautiful spells i have ever seen in any game, just casting or channeling a spell looks fantastic. Im just about to hit 38 yrs old i was playing mmo s (Ultima Online) since you were like in diapers. Pantheon is gonna end up being the most populated mmo ever i guarantee it. There is No good mmo s anymore at all, i mean it obvious look at you your playing a game with graphics that were obsolete the day it launched. Pantheon in Pre Alpha still makes the newest WoW expansion look like a 6 yr old kid made the game on his pentium 133mhz cpu with a 8mb gpu and about 4mbs of ram. I Wouldn't play WoW if it was F2P
