Who knows, maybe he did have cancer and has a pregnant wife. We'll never know the whole story and perhaps it's a false one. See, this is what I like about Dawson is that he's so real and genuine. When the brain cancer patient guy is talking with him, he doesn't like look around to see if the camera is still rolling or anything, he just drops everything and he's engaged whenever someone starts saying real things.
