As I Romanian I also love Italy, why? The language is the easiest to learn for us and is beautiful, the food, best cuisine in the world, cars, fashion brands, perfumes, Italy has a lot of style, we just love it.

Going by the La Spezia-Rimini line, central and southern Italian languages are the only surviving Eastern Romance languages (Sicilian being the best example) apart from Romanian, so there's a great cultural and linguistic bond between us. Historically, our Hungarian and Polish neighbors didn't even differentiate between Romanians and Italians that much. In Polish texts, Italy is called Włochy, while Romania was called Włoska. In Hungarian, Italians were called Olasz, while Romanians were called Oláh. As Aeneas Sylvius Piccolomini put it in his book De Europa, written in 1458, Romanians are a "genus italicum" (italian race). It's sad the communist period drove us apart, we used to have great relations before that. More than half of the Lupa Capitolina statues you see in Romania were gifts from the Italian state, so we don't "forget our heritage". Sorry for the history lesson, but it's the only way to describe why we feel so close to Italy in particular.

Medieval texts, both Romanian and foreign, pinpoint the origin of our people to the conquest and colonization of Dacia. And pretty much every text said the same thing: Romanians are the colonists that drove out and assimilated the Dacians. A few more sources: The 12th-century scholar John Kinnamos wrote that the Vlachs "are said to be formerly colonists from the people of Italy". Poggio Bracciolini, an Italian scholar wrote that the Romanians' ancestors had been Roman colonists settled in Dacia Traiana. And you know what Romanians thought in the early modern era? Here it is: Grigore Ureche states in his work Chronicle of Moldavia of 1647 that the Romanians "all come from Rîm" (Rome). In 1675, Miron Costin also connected the origin of Romanians to the conquest and colonization of Dacia.

We do not speak their language, we do not practice their religion and if you read the way dacians were described physically you will see they were blue eyed gingers, we romanians are mostly not. While most romanians are probably mostly of dacian descent, there is very evident and very notable mediteraneean admixture. Our name comes from the romans, our language comes from the romans, the religion we practice came with the romans (and is arguably the roman standardization of a popular cult), our culture (from mamaliga, our defining national dish, to the oldest folk songs and balads we got) and our historic, traditional law, Legea Tarii, was one of the few direct, natural descendants of the roman law. We're romanians.

@@Superator69 What roman historians? Can you quote them (the exact text, the wirting the text is from, the name of the author and the date)? Because we had Ovidius, a roman, settle here (forced domicile) and writing down the barbaric language of the Gatae (dacians) was something he could absolutely not understand a word of. Just google ''Poetul Ovidiu despre limba dacilor''. Dacian was clearly not similar to latin. And this is made evident not only by the direct source mentioned above but by simply looking at the location and person names of the dacians. Decebal, Burebista, Dromichetes, Zamolxes, Sarmisegetusa, etc They clearly had very little to do with the latin language (besides both dacian and latin being indo-european languages). The surviving dacian words in romanian show the language in question (dacian) to have been closer to the baltic languages and albanian, which is no surprise since Herodotus, if I remember correctly, says the thracians (dacians were a type of thracian) were spread up to the Baltic Sea (so baltic languages and thracian were clearly similar to be confused like this).

Dutch people are very ignorant, stingy and cold, they don't even know Romania is in the EU and NATO, they always ask you if you've ever seen a remote control and they think romanians come to work in Holland because we are there ilegaly and want to take their visas and jobs, we only need an ID to eneter Hungary and Schengen, that's it, but they don't even know that . And yes, I generalize, and Amsterdam is very very dirty and the food is trash.

Congrats for another great video! Hard to choose one foreign country. I lived in Budapest, Madrid and London and visited the whole Europe (except for a few countries). I would say Italy, because of nature, history, language, music and fashion. And "Il dolce far niente". Also UK, for gardens, language, culture (literature, music, films etc), coast landscapes, tea with milk:). Love the British humour:)). I also loved Budapest, the food and the warm people in Spain. So, it's a difficult question:)).

Moreover, Australia is NOT only desert, it has tropical forests in the north, it has Mediterranean climate and oceanic climate coasts, it even has mountains where it snows from time to time… Australia is super interesting overall.

As a Romanian, I love Poland, Serbia, Greece, Bulgaria, Slovakia and Estonia, and the reason why, for Serbia, Bulgaria and Greece because we are brothers, our cultures are so similar, our folk music, we're literally Orthodox brothers and the people are just amazing, whenever I'm in Serbia, I feel like home and everyone was so kind, they're amazing people, for Poland and Slovakia because they're very Christians and very much patriots, I'm also learning Polish because I just love the language for a while and it became my dream to be able to speak it, I love the culture and the people, I didn't visit them yet but I really like these countries, and lastly Estonia, because many people go for IT, they're highly developed in technology and the place is just very chill I love it!
