New York is a HCOL city so it's not surprising most are making six figures and even then 100k is not a lot when the majority of your money goes to living cost. Go to Detroit, Michigan majority of people will be making 20k to 30k. If your making 100k your living like a king there.

Shyt, the guy I get my fentanyl powder from makes 35-40,000 a WEEK. Profit! He buys it online and sells it on the street riding around in rental cars. It's sad cuz he knows it's only a matter of time for he's in the feds to, like his older brother and uncle before him. But that fast money hard say no too. Even after he gets locked up, they'll just pass that phone and all the licks numbers to someone else, and the marathon continues. Wild.

Yea, once you break into 6 figures, it does feel weird to tell anyone. I remember when I started to get close and I had told a neighbor I made 86k the previous year and the look they gave me. Once you get to twice or 3 times the average dual income household in America, it can quickly and easily create a large amount of animosity.

Most contents on social media makes us feel left behind tbh, dont feel bad about what you make dude, these contents will make people like us feel legitimately depressed because the more we watch these videos the more we start comparing ourselves to them unconsciously, man i uninstalled fb for that reason and now its all over youtube as well There is a reason behind the common courtesy of not sharing our income with one another because other people who might not be as blessed might start questioning their own worth in this life, and finally, most of them are liars, these people know they're being filmed and they also know high income=respect & authority so they automatically add 10k to 30k to their income to show off "pEoPlE wHo kNoW mE aRe gOnNa wAtCh tHiS aNd wiLL aUto rEsPecT mE" Trust me as long as you have food on your table and minimal debts that you can pay off and a roof over your head you're already rich enough, at the ens of the day we're all gonna die and leave whatever money we had behind hell, even our own underwears will be left behind

Get some certificates brother, make yourself a higher value employee and fatten that resume in anyway possible. What industry do you have 9 years of experience in? Maybe you can pivot and utilize that experience in a higher paying field, chances of reaching a larger salary increase exponentially when you goto a different job as opposed to growing within a company! You got this, I believe in you.
