if you want your own apartment (no roommates) AND a brand new car (ie. still making the payment) and be afford to buy things normal priced things regularly like clothing, food, etc, 100k is not really much. i make 65k and have 3 roommates.. and that’s in Queens where its “cheaper” than in the video. i have a cheap, older car. i need to make more if i want my own place and a newer car and still have decent money leftover.

I can relate, in my country a doctor makes an average of 8000 dollars a year. So you can judge by your self how low the other wages are. And living isn’t cheap either

Most contents on social media makes us feel left behind tbh, dont feel bad about what you make dude, these contents will make people like us feel legitimately depressed because the more we watch these videos the more we start comparing ourselves to them unconsciously, man i uninstalled fb for that reason and now its all over youtube as well There is a reason behind the common courtesy of not sharing our income with one another because other people who might not be as blessed might start questioning their own worth in this life, and finally, most of them are liars, these people know they're being filmed and they also know high income=respect & authority so they automatically add 10k to 30k to their income to show off "pEoPlE wHo kNoW mE aRe gOnNa wAtCh tHiS aNd wiLL aUto rEsPecT mE" Trust me as long as you have food on your table and minimal debts that you can pay off and a roof over your head you're already rich enough, at the ens of the day we're all gonna die and leave whatever money we had behind hell, even our own underwears will be left behind

I went to uni and have a good education but clearly it doesn't matter. I need to know what line of work pays this money

Get some certificates brother, make yourself a higher value employee and fatten that resume in anyway possible. What industry do you have 9 years of experience in? Maybe you can pivot and utilize that experience in a higher paying field, chances of reaching a larger salary increase exponentially when you goto a different job as opposed to growing within a company!You got this, I believe in you.
