In college I worked in a librarian, and I wished I my college had a library science program. I was so in awe of the people that were librarians. I worked there for 4 years and loved working there.

I love getting book recs at the library. I have found some new favorite authors this way. I also love the game Love and Pies, I have played it daily for a while now

my local library literally has a small shelf labeled “our favorite books” and it’s the librarians choices, they change every couple weeks. love the library!❤️

Oohh I love this so much! My library has staff picks as soon as you walk in and I need to grab some one day! I’m usually always in there for specific books, but am always super intrigued to see their picks!

My favorite book ever is 'Carrie' by Stephen King. It's a short book, but it's a great read. I just reread it for the 50th anniversary, and I loved it just the same as the first two times. Just don't talk to me about the movies. That'll get messy fast.

i’ve been thinking about getting into stephen king! i’ve never read horror quite like his but i know that gore in books doesn’t bother me. the only reason i haven’t read his books yet is i don’t own any and they’re never available at my local library. if you say carrie is very good i think ill buy it used! ❤

Can I recommend my favorite book of all time? Lol I'm gonna do it. So my favorite book for years has been "The Host" by Stephanie Meyer, and yes there was a movie that is okay but the book really has the heart of it. The book is told from basically an alien perspective but as she is living in a human and living among other humans they find they have more in common with each other than they would have thought. I reread it again every few years and it hasn't changed how good the book is it just gets better. It is incredibly reflective on just what it means to have humanity and really makes you appreciate life, the perspective is amazing.

This sounds so fun to do! I have amazing librarians at my local library, and two of them have commented they enjoyed some books I've checked out.

All my years as a librarian, no one asked me about my fave book so I think this was really sweet

@JustAli I am currently reading "A Clean Kill In Tokyo" It's about an assassin for hire who is living in Tokyo who takes a job that ends up intersecting with his personal life. It is book one of the John Rain series by Barry Eisler. There is also a movie based on the book titled "Rainfall" (which was the original title of the book when it was first published) starring Gary Oldman. (commissioner Gordon from the Christopher Nolan Batman movies)

We should try reading ‘solito’ by Javier Zamora! It’s a memoir about a 9 year old boy who immigrates alone from El Salvador. It gives amazing insight!

I have a hard time with Chee books. Nothing of hers has been bad per se, but they were all hard to get into/finish and they were very mid. After 4 of them I think her books just aren't for me. Kindling was the last book of hers I read and I almost didn't finish.
