Other "combinations" have different names and there's nothing wrong with different options. That's why there are so many genders. The problem is that many people don't want to accept that still exist the basic option: XX and XY. The rest are ways to live your life, and your sexuality and it's perfectly ok

All it does is remove any weight from the term transphobia. Grace is almost 6 foot tall (179cm), so it would have been somewhat obvious to these guys that she's trans, as less than 5% of Australian women are that tall... But she's in Melbourne, and we Melbourne guys are decent and polite in the vast majority of cases when presented with these questions and situations... As a guy who identifies as straight, I have dated a top and bottom post-op trans girl, however, I am fully aware that guys like me who will date a trans girl make up only a tiny tiny fraction of men...

Dating a trans woman doesn't make a straight guy bi. That's not how this works; trans women are women. You can not want to date people who have penises, but not all trans women have penises, so it isn't fair to say you wouldn't date a trans woman at all. It is very rude, actually. You shouldn't see men as women, but you shouldn't see trans women as men because they are not. Overall, I'd still think there would be less trans women than people legitimately attracted to them. A lot of men I know are attracted to trans women, while most trans women I've known tend towards the lesbian side, maybe straight ones tend to stealth more who knows. Either way it's still somebody's "loss". Dating market is still a competition.

Not so. Trans women are women. If a trans woman is presenting feminine, and a man is attracted to her, then he is not gay. If a lesbian women is attracted to a trans femme, then she is not gay. Gender and sexuality are not one in the same.

Other "combinations" have different names and there's nothing wrong with different options. That's why there are so many genders. The problem is that many people don't want to accept that still exist the basic option: XX and XY. The rest are ways to live your life, and your sexuality and it's perfectly ok

All it does is remove any weight from the term transphobia. If transphobia ranges from thinking trans people are subhuman to simply having a sexual preference then it's just a spectrum ranging from horrible views to normal views. As a guy who identifies as straight, I have dated a top and bottom post-op trans girl, however, I am fully aware that guys like me who will date a trans girl make up only a tiny tiny fraction of men...

Dating a trans woman doesn't make a straight guy bi. That's not how this works; trans women are women. You can not want to date people who have penises, but not all trans women have penises, so it isn't fair to say you wouldn't date a trans woman at all. Overall, I'd still think there would be less trans women than people legitimately attracted to them. A lot of men I know are attracted to trans women, while most trans women I've known tend towards the lesbian side, maybe straight ones tend to stealth more who knows. Either way it's still somebody's "loss". Dating market is still a competition.

Why are people so scared to admit that they aren't gay and that is the reason why they wouldn't date one of these men there's nothing disrespectful about being honest about your sexuality and just simply stating that you are straight
I appreciate that they were all respectful about it and just said "it's not for me" which i think is way more respectful than making comments about it or being transphobic
You can see the social conditioning in their answers tho. They give honest answers but dont want to elaborate on the reason despite it being obvious

Why? Majority of people don’t give a shit about trans people. Just because people have different opinions doesn’t put them on the same level as people who would kill you for being trans. Some people are straight.....you know only attracted to opposite sex..... Not gender. I'm a straight female and I wouldn't date a trans man even if I didn't know he was trans until he told me because I'm not attracted to females and would be instantly put off no matter how they identify.... People are allowed to choose who they sleep with... Basic rights.

Then let me be clearer Trans women are women, if you date women, that doesn't exclude trans women. The real question is would a trans women date you? And I hope trans women if asked would be interested in me like that.
