When I was a teen in the 80’s, I got a eurail youth pass- which allowed unlimited travel on all trains in the Schengen zone!! 😄 I spent a few summers traveling all over France and elsewhere, and it was super affordable! Beautiful memories of the train rides 🥰🥰

I was in Montparnasse this time two weeks ago when me and my wife were en route to the UK when we travelled from Surgeres on the TGV from La Rochelle to Paris. The cost of food in Montparnasse and Gare du Nord is astronomical just for a few items. Still train travel in France is always enjoyable and both are impressive stations.

I just left hospital ER and want to spread the news that it is so important to speak french in proper, entire phrases. There is a thing called pareidolia, where your imagination makes you see things, well, frenchies have acccustic pareidolia: they complete partial phrases like "your mother" in their mind in the most unfavorable way. Avoid starting a harmless phrase like "ta mère..." and then pausing, thinking how to speak on... too late, that's what brought me into ER in the first place. Speak in entire phrases, folks!
