This is very true i did my first year by memorising and sure enough it didn't work at all 💀 realised I have to really keep thinking instead of theorising with the codes and stuff doesn't matter what you think as long as it is viable and writable in that language then after that is to learn how to tidy to cut down code basically or find different solutions I started just going around looking at news and stuff to stimulate brain usage just to make my brain more active and think more logically so you know I won't be stressed out if I cant think of a solution basically having control over how to think when to think and what to think

Like what? You get paid for work because it's something you wouldn't otherwise do in your free time.
Languages being outdated every two years? Not even short of true. Maybe frameworks but not entire languages. I work in IT and went to college for computer science. Python, batch, bash, JavaScript, Java, and PowerShell are all commonly used in IT and have been around for years. The tools you use might change, but entire languages don’t switch out that fast.

2 years? Lol
Lol the last one is horrible advice. If anything specialize is what you should do. No the language you pick will not be obsolete in 2 years. People still code in C, C++, PHP, JavaScript, Haskell, Cobol, and many more languages and those are 20+ years old.
Just learn a language for generic use but also learn one for something specific. People usually pay way more for a specific job.

Programming language going « obsolete » ? Happens very rarely. Industry adoption may decrease, hence job offers but that’s it. Choose 2 big names on the list that are different but complementary and you’ll be fine for years and years. Try another language once a year if you got time but keep digging what you’re proficient with (and like). Frameworks, libs, tools etc yeah they go obsolete. We should be framework-agnostic. Anyway we don’t get really rich just coding.
$ advice
Sounds like computer scientist who gave up and decided to go for software engineering. Anything we call obsolete means we gave up and don’t want to go extra mile to find new patterns and design algorithms and data structures that could’ve been game changing

@@Priva_C It's ok, but make sure u can transition back to dev again. I don't like QA jobs because I often work with QAs who really don't understand how to test or design test cases and don't know how to organize a test suite, leading to some unnecessary and messy processes. Most of the time, when it comes to automation testing, QAs lack basic coding skills. So, I feel like the QA team doesn't contribute to making the product better.
