Hey Sara, so sad you’ve skipped on Anne of Green Gables! It’s such a beautifully written book and doesn’t actually read like a classic at all, although I’d recommend listening to the audiobook, literally feels like a fever dream ✨🤍

I LOVED House in the Cerulean Sea. I work with youth who have behavioral challenges and mental health issues and I saw so much of my classroom reflected in this book. It made me feel all warm and fuzzy when sometimes it's easy to dwell on negatives of the systems in place in our education system. Would recommend to anyone. LOVE.

Girl- I was crying along with you just remembering how KoA went down. You are fine! I literally talked myself out of immediately re-reading the series for the rest of the year in 2023 cuz I was not even close to my Goodreads reading goal. I can’t wait to start my reread- working on collecting the paperbacks so I can annotate to my hearts delight/sorrow.

I liked reading TAB third because when you learn her past before HOF you connect to her depression and anxiety when meeting Rowan and training. I didn’t love KOA, I wish more happened and felt it was slow. BUT I read TOG 2 years ago, almost 3, and reread up to QOS in June of this year, so maybe this winter break when I have time home from college I’ll reread the last 3! The series is SOO special to me, I can cry just thinking about it. It’s so special and rereading it is even better so you can skim boring parts but see all of the BRILLIANT foreshadowing.

Me crying watching you cry about Kingdom of Ash 😭 when you re-read, I’d recommend not doing the tandem! I felt like I appreciated each book more by not reading them at the same time and it was way less daunting. My fav in the series is Empire of Storms and I don’t think that’d be the case if I tandem read! Happy Bookmas!!!

Not me crying with Sara as she cries her way through KOA. I had the exact same reactions and feelings and that last book is so overwhelming. I've never resignated more with a reading vlog.
