Just bc guitarists have evolved and can play faster doesn't mean that something like this can't work. This solo was sexy and had good tone and even harmonized with the riff at some point. That's as fundamental as it gets.

As an ex fan, I am thoroughly impressed. Very refined and mature sounding, more effort with instrument varation. Always loved Danny as a vocalist, one of the best voices in rock/metal.

That solo was sick. I know they have been wanting to be more of a rock band instead of metalcore. But the last two albums were more pop alternative rock sounding. This gives me an 80’s rock vibe. This is definitely the right direction if they wanna be more rock n roll. I’m now looking forward to an asking Alexandria album for the first time since the black album.

But it wasn’t anything that got me excited or got me looking forward to what’s next for them. This actually gets me looking forward to what the rest of the album sounds like. Stick with this sound guys it really suits you. Last album was good and did have a handful of my favourite AA songs but on the whole was a step back from the self titled album. This sounds absolutely awesome. Ben is showing how great he is and Danny is just flexing those one of a kind vocals, every genre he does he brings something so unique.

The sound, musicianship, and production are all solid. Reminds me of A7X instrumentally and I will say it seems like they've found their groove for the first time since stand up and scream and reckless and relentless days!!

This is actually great, I feel like they've found a balance here that old fans can enjoy without going all the way back to their old sound. Solo was mint too 🤘

Well no not completely, but it's a massive improvememt over what they did before. Guitar is heavier which I like. Still not the AA that I know and love though. They obviously know what they have to do to get back their old fans. Step in the right direction. But this half-half shit is not going to work. They'll have to decide if they want to be pop/rock or metal again. They got their fans in the former, genre now, but they'll never be as big as they were unless they satisfy their original fans again. But that's just my opinion. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe they are right.

I wouldn't say Sevenfold for the solo. Because Syn is way too technical of a guitarist plus the lack of harmonies etc. Great solo nonetheless. But it's definitely more Metallica or maybe even Pantera like

I'd love to hear a full on orchestral version of this song. The addition of the strings in the background is what gives me chills with this song I cant imagine what it would sound like if they got together with a full on symphony to cover this just like architects did with animals. Faith in Asking Alexandria: Restored. I've got to be on the 20th listen and I still get chills when the Chorus hits. Thank you.

After watching and listening to interviews where Ben has said that he used to be into shredding and over the years just sort or lost it I’m so glad he’s been able to demonstrate it again, esp after the teaser in One Turns To None. Genuinely happy for him, AND JAMES, The drums were awesome and Dannys’s vox were outstanding, I can’t wait to hear more music.

The chorus, the rift, the vocals, the solo, everything is sick in this track! I love it.

I was not a fan of the last album at all, and I thought the self-titled was just okay. That being said, this is pretty damn good. I haven't been excited for new AA music in a LONG time, but has me pretty stoked. Great song!

Good lord that chorus is huge. Im really digging this sound. It feels like they really found that balance that the last few albums have been looking for. My thoughts on this song is that it feels like a good blend from Like A House On Fire (dad rock vocals) and the self title album (Instrumental). As a long time AA fan, the latest record wasn't for me. It sounded way too mainstream and it was bittersweet and something I wouldn't listen to but this song, it's quite solid from start to finish. In awe! The vocals are point, Danny nailed it, such a catchy chorus. The guitar work was beyond greatness because Ben is a beast and so are Sam, Cam and James. Stoked for more music! Despite the metalcore touch being gone but the heaviness still there somehow. 🎧

Holy shit! I hear some a7x feels. Definitely a wake up kind of song from a rut.

It's unlike anything they've ever done. But this song holds so well on its own, it really is for me more enjoyable than the last album in its entirety. Ben Bruce finally demonstrates his real talent of being a lead guitar player, that solo really stood out and has an Avenged Sevenfold vibe. I'm so excited for the future of this band if this song is an indicator of great things to come.

He was supposed to be the guitarist and got thrown into vocals and had no idea what he was doing and then once SUAS came out and did good, they kept it going until Danny was just basically like "fuck this" Sucks cuz R&R was one of my favorite albums ever

This song seems to be rated higher than other songs on the album. It is top 3 if not the best, but I encourage everyone to listen to all of the songs and decide for yourself. The whole album is absolutely legendary!

They have been changing so much but I still dig them, Danny is a machine at any style he sings, country /blues/ metalcore and rock..... Your a beast

Absolute BANGER of a track. It took me by surprise from the get go. Totally fits in with From Death to Destiny and Self Titled with a sprinkle of Like a House On Fire

My wife left me after 8 years of marriage. This is the worst time of my life. I listen to AA before I got married. You released this song on the day we parted with her. Thank you, the song is beautiful.

​@NinjaChoke yes they do , my wife of 13 years caught her sleeping around cause you know I worked all the time cause she wanted to be a stay at home mom , and didn't even do the mom part as she was out running around while I worked 12 hours a day , so she could stay home like she wanted, but says she cheated cause I was always working.. and I spend more time with the kids then her

I don't even care if its heavy at this point, I just hope this is more interesting than the last album... (Edit: Now this is definetly better! Wow what a chorus! Sick solo too!)

I love AA so much man. Growing with the times and still reminds me of the best parts of the 80s.

After checking out the teaser on FB, so far I'm liking it, it's bringing back a little bit of heaviness in the musical aspect. I don't expect much screaming but that's fine,There were a few decent songs on the last album but I was mostly disappointed with it.

A mi la verdad se me hace un poco extraño porque es algo que no esperaba de ellos como género, pero que está padre porque ese estilo que adoptaron en esta canción es clásico. Además como buen Fan de AA te adaptas a cualquier canción por gusto🤟🏼

The opening lyrics sound awesome in this song, such a good sound and solo

This was a banger. People are saying it’s “trash” because it doesn’t have screaming. A song doesn’t need to have screams in order to be good. Instrumentally it’s heavier than the last album and if you expected screams like the days of R&R and SUAS, Danny has said multiple times that they are done with that era. This song was a banger and that solo was nice and the double bass James did in the solo at 3:47 really was satisfying to hear especially as a drummer myself.

@@itsonlyhugs9486 also, the people who are hating on AA in the comments merely because the lyrics lack screaming completely lack empathy and understanding that it is not about them. They don't have to like it and the comments are not necessary. If you don't like the music, you can leave constructively critical comments AA can consider and move on. Screaming for music is actually harmful and can ruin your voice. Maybe the band nor Danny are into that as much as they were in the past. AA, nor any artist, do not release music to appease everyone. For many artists and bands, it is a way of life and remedy/therapy. It is their career that shouldn't be hated on because someone doesn't like it.

@@itsonlyhugs9486 except the people who hate AA now only because they don’t scream no more when there’s other bands to please them and AA’s older albums doesn’t verify their opinions. Danny has said multiple times that they will not go back to screaming like the R&R and SUAS days. Stop wasting YOUR time trying to change a musician’s sound when they moved on from that phase.

Wow what a vast improvement from the last albums sound and hopefully more to come. Got a bit of a A7X vibe cant believe I'm looking forward to new AA music in 2021 after the album the shall not be named.

One of their better tracks in a while! Good to hear the production cleaned up.

I'm in love with this new style of AA it feels like they put all the elements from the previous album together The Black Dark Vibes FDTD Hardrock/Metalcore riffs Big choruses like SUAS and R&R It's just awesome 🔥🔥🤟

It sounds like they are going back to self titled but also merging it with some insperation from the from death to destiny album which sounds like a fucking amazing album. But still doing modern alternative rock, grunge, 80s rock and roll.

Ok they sound completely different than what they have put out in the last decade, life happens they have changed and most are not happy and I understand that buuuut so has avenged sevenfold and most people don't like there new shit either just like Asking Alexandria. But asking has always been a band where they have always written music for themselves its really never been about the fans they have always been in it for themselves the reason why they had grown such a whole following is because...people loved their shit. Asking also has been that band where if you like than great continue to stay tuned for our upcoming shit if you don't than OK than fuck off don't like it don't listen.

I thought the same thing with the guitar solo. It caught me by surprise. You don’t really hard AA guitar solos often. They have a couple, but nothing like this. This was badass

I was not expecting this to be this good. Damn I love this version of AA. I love that guitar tone.

This is so cool. It sounds like a mix of all my favourite bands

I'm so addicted to this song it plays in my head all the time!

This song is freaking dope touches a lot of points of my life
