Unlike a lot of games play I find this one the most stressful. I am on my 5th restart at the moment but I am slowly getting better at it. The first few attempts were thwarted because of the bear attack and later on I perished in the winter. I am currently on day 50 and have just survived my second bear attack. This time I gave him the run around and he eventually left without doing too much damage, although he did kill one villager. In a few days, I have got to face an invasion which I don't think I will survive and of course, winter will be upon me once again. I don't have a lot of patience and I foresee this game going on the shelf with all the rest I have bought over the years. BTW, the seasons last for 7 days each.

Thanks for your comment and 7 day per season info. The trick to survive the bear attack is get as many villagers you can and supply them with a simple club before he attacks on around day 15. To survive winter build the addition to the crafter hut in order to make simple clothes and build your village near the sea to build fishing hut or like in my video I'm building near a Fen/deer spawner and going to build hunters hut before winter in order to have lots of meat to cook on the barbecue. @@techwizardstream Many thanks for getting back to me. I have started a new game using your seed which is great. I love the fishing hut but as I am inland I will build a hunter's hut as there are so many deer about. Thanks for the help you have provided, I think I will do better this time. I look forward to more of your videos.

Only watch a little bit. But keep intro short and sweet. Most people want to get into the video. You said in the title its the best start and its not bad. Put the seed in the description so your viewers can copy paste. I'll watch more of the vid later.

If I understand your question, Then yes there is a cave in the clearing that I am building at in this Let's Play series. It does look like a big bright stone when using your special Viking vision to look for it.
