Ask the Sinkovic Brothers Anything | Olympic Rowing Champions

Спорт

Hello KZreadrs! Welcome to the Ask Me Anything episode with the Sinkovic brothers. Really excited to get some of the questions that you guys asked on my Instagram answered by a pair of the fastest rowers on the planet.
While we are on training camp in Croatia I was able to sit down with Martin and Valent Sinkovic to ask them some questions. They both have wone 3 olympic medals in 3 different boat classes, the double scull, the quadruple scull and the pair. They are heading back to the double scull after winning the olympic games in Tokyo in the pair. It has been great to be a part of their journey and have them be a part of mine and hopefully inspire some of the Yamsquad into the future! Enjoy!

    Awesome interview, having to do a 6k test would be killer, especially if you normally do 5k, the extra 1km would be a mental battle. I can’t believe how little sweep training they have done, it’s very remarkable that they were able to accomplish so much in the pair, including the gold at Tokyo

    Definitely. Doing the extra k means a shift in strategy. Although not as big as you might think! For sure, incredible to be able to switch to the pair and make it go so fast

    These brothers are phenomenal. Winning the Olympic pairs after winning the double was (almost - see below) unprecedented. Very interesting interview, Cameron. Thanks.

    Great interview especially as they rarely do Q&As - very chilled off the water but absolute beasts in a boat - you’ve got to be extremely motivated after all you learned on this trip as it’s been a refreshing insight to rowing outside of the usual BR fare😎

    Did they say they are using slides on their ergs, and that it was easier on the back that a "static erg"?

  • @karnage04

    @karnage04

    2 жыл бұрын

    I have spondylolisthesis and can confirm the dynamic and slides are easier on the back. But it also depends on your form, bad form won’t be good for the back on any rowing simulator.

  • @karnage04
