I live near Bicester Heritage and could hear the unmistakable sound of that BMW V12 whilst you were filming.
you make the best videos out there. all are stylish and original
In my opinion, the most beautiful car of all time... Unmatched beauty. Also, beautiful gesture, to invite the original racer of the car.
Great! Thanks Simon, please keep 'em coming!
Anyone who wears red trousers is very rich and very comfy in their own skin i've noticed
When it started to accelerate fast ....... 🤤🤤THAT SOUND
though it was beaten by Mercedes CLK GTR, i absolutely love the long tail
Old car from Peter Koxxx , hell of a driver in Those day’s . Gt1 . Dream machine
I like this new series... even more with the McLaren F1 GTR longtail !! Thanks for that.
The Sound! The Sound! The Sound! Nothing, nothing in the world sounds as good as an Angry F1 McLaren!
3:57 look at the happy face of the old dream come true! 😌😊
👌🏼
As always a great production Thank you !!!!
Great stuff, Simon, thank you, very much. Looking forward to the next in the series, as and when it appears.
Very, very interesting video, with epic knowledge about the F1 Longtail. In my opinion the video could be longer. Especially the interview with Lanzante. I like this new format and look forward to many others. Best regards, Anders Richter, Denmark
Amazing video! Love your program. There will never be another as nice as these Longtail’s.
Thank you sir for the great video.JDS in AZ usa
You know what is best about the Mclaren F1? not only you got the most prestigious car. But you also got a BMW heritage with it as well. You practically bought TWO cars for the price of one.
F1 is so beautiful. I love when it has BMW badges everywhere lol. So guys tell me - this car inspired the SpeedTail correct? TripleFCollection have a Speedtail and they daily drive it . Such a joy to see.
6:47 it's almost like the fcking thing's alive, for christ's sake! 😂
This production is awesome. I was wondering if I could use a short clip for an upcoming video of mine
Very special.
Love.....
Wonderful film as always from KP. Isn’t there a danger that if you do this conversion you’re erasing the racing history of one or more LTs?
More please
looks like the same track JWW often uses 🤔
Could we have some number plates and lights for Mr. Kidston please !! 🙂
But what do they actually do to road convert it?
Is this #39? And was it converted to long tail spec for 1997? I have a 1:18 model of an F1 with the same livery but in short tail spec
So...road car converted to race car converted to road car? But not a convertable. Hmmm.
can you turn a mclaren F1 into a gtr longtail with a body kit?

Yes, he says in the video it’s a 6 month job
Very disapointing to have such knowlegable people there and the only thing that makes it into the video is the obvious fact about the H pattern vs sequential gearbox, when so much interesting things could have been asked about the history, development and what is done when road converting it. But maybe that would make the video too long and boring for the mainstream people?
To my mind converting a race car like this to the road seems like a monumental waste of time and money. Lets face it anyone who has that sort of money can afford to keep it as a race car and buy a ridiculously fast road car as well.
Thank you for another one... @andoniscars sums it up :)
