Just a few weeks ago I began going to my local orthodox church. Last sunday the bishop asked us and the whole community to pray for him and the metropolitan. Until that day, when i hears him talk in a personal level i felt something sometimes a bit off, but yet he has so much attention for others, eventhough sometimes it looks to me that he might be too harsh, but listening to what this priest said. I just can't imagine what this bishop i knew must be going through all the time... May God bless and take care of all christian orthodox priest, may He give them the strength they need.

May God bless this man. Absolute honey to the ears to hear a priest stand up for truth despite the modern relativism we see. What's the point of becoming Orthodox if it's just another "flavor" of Christianity (God-forbid). I'm not a perfect man nor a saint, but I believe that my God's church is in Orthodoxy, and I'm not willing to compromise.

The love in his heart is extremely strong.

I am a (perpetual) subdeacon, I serve close, really close to priests and bishops in the Holy Altar - almost all of them are in tears for us at times while standing there. Fr Z exhibits that true priesthood. Him sharing that with us is a huge blessing.

i have seen this several times. It makes me cry EVERY time. Oh to achieve such humility.

“It is a fearful thing to be a priest.” I like this guy! I usually do not like public displays of the tears meant for the lord, but this man seems true. If it’s the type of true that is the truest of truths then as it interacts with the fallen nature of our spirit it hurts and brings tears then gods forgiveness. It’s a good pain. Like working out. Pray hard and crucify the lies within on the cross of truth!
