I have a traumatic brain injury since 2008 also from a car accident. Time heals and it's been a long journey with improvements each year. Quiet is my friend. I learned to say no to activities and live on a low fixed income. God blesses me each and every day. ❤
Hi Connie, I just want to say that I’ve never thought you were too slow speaking. Your pace of talking is lovely and calm. It also helps because I struggle with auditory processing and often need subtitles. I’m 36, I love your videos and you look gorgeous at 48!

Yes..as an Asian it is sometimes painful to listen to Americans talk..high pitch, very fast n loud n kind of nervous n would make me have anxiety n fast breathing..unlike American youtubers, most (not all) Asian youtubers either don't speak at all or speak very little n the volume is slower...that' why I choose to listen to American youtubers who only speak softly like Dr Berg, Cottage Fairy etc.. however, this is only my personal preference..

I think I was one of your first two thousand subscribers and have never commented before. This is my favorite video. I think when kind, grounded, honest, sweet people like you share their story, the world is a better place. The qualities of your character make you someone to whom we can all relate and wish there were more of in the world. Thank you for sharing you - you are very special.

I think you are one of the classiest women I have ever witnessed on KZread or any other social media venue. Possibly because you are so true to yourself and the people you interact with yet you are never trying to be someone else. There is to much jealousy in our world today and you have done the hard work of excepting yourself right where you are in life and where you want to be. I look forward to your videos and meditation channel each week. Can’t wait to hear about your next adventure.

I love the way you take your time speaking. I find many KZreadrs sound frenetic, they speak so fast, and I find my stress levels rising listening to them. You sound calm and calming, I love it!
That was fun! As I watched & listened to this, I realized that I never had any questions in the past while watching your videos. I just focused on the messages. I never thought that you spoke slowly and many other things that were brought out through people's questions. I'm 68 and embraced my silver & dark brown hair later in life. I'm so much happier accepting it's natural color. I wear it below my shoulders and often wear it in a loose French braid. I often get many compliments on my hair from all age groups, which at first, shocked me! Ladies, don't be afraid of changes in your hair (my unsolicited suggestion). But those who would rather color it, I support you.
Connie-Love both of your channels 🙂 I appreciate your calm narrations they truly relax me... part of why I love your channel. I wasn't aware you were a life coach; I am sure you are an excellent one! Book or journal...you would have my support 🙂 You are adorable and inspiring, thank you for the wonderful content.
I love the pacing of your speech, as it is calming and easy to comprehend and to be present with you. As someone else stated, I feel other youtubers speak much too quickly and edit their videos to cut out any natural breaks. Keep doing what you’re doing. 😊
I am Korean and based in greater Seoul, Korea. I've become a huge fan of your youtube since 2022. The first video I watched of yours was a couple of months back without putting the volume on while I was putting my toddler to bed and I subscribed instantly without even knowing what and how you said it. You give that vibe. Your existence gives peace and calmness and you have so much capability just by being yourself. I want to become more of your being. Just like how contented you are. You inspire me so much. Love from Nepal 🇳🇵 thank you for being who you are.

Thanks for sharing all of this, Connie. I love how calming your voice is. In fact, I usually can’t watch KZread videos where people talk in a fast or rushed pace. Can’t wait to see what your big changes are! Sending positive thoughts for your upcoming transitions.

To be honest the reason I subscribed to your channel was your calm slow speaking voice, I had know idea it had something to do with brain injury 😢 hope you have fully recovered from the experience I' ve discovered your channel today and have watched so many videos of yours already, thank you for sharing so much valuable content with us ❤️
Loved this video! I look forward to every Friday morning ( in Australia 😊) having a cuppa and watching your video on my day off.
I love your voice. It's very welcoming. I never thought of you as a slow talker. I guess people are so used to hearing people talking fast, cutting people off and talking over others then it might appear that way to them.

Hello Connie, I love your voice tone and the fact you speak not too quick, not too slow. I usually listen to your videos while running and it helps me to calm down, enjoy my run and life in general. Thank you for your great content!
Most people speak way to fast.. Your voice is clear, understandable and easy to listen to. Dont know ever feel it is slow. The whole world should be so paced.
I like the way you speak, it's soothing and reflective. I'd have never guessed you had a serious accident. Ignore the nasty comments, you speak perfectly well.
We appreciate you too! Have a beautiful day my friend.
I don’t think you speak too slowly. I love the way you speak, so calm and relaxed. I can’t tell at all that you’ve had a brain injury. I just discovered your videos, so I’ll probably be watching some more! 😊
Connie, thank you for sharing your life and all of the videos. I am 70 and just stopped dyeing my hair, with grey in front and the edges and dark brown in the back. Just embracing my grey as you mention, love your hair. You are very positive with informative messages with a calm and clear voice. I like when you speak slowly and I like your voice too. It is soothing to the ear so sod them. :)
I like that you speak more slowly ! It gives me time to process what your saying. There is nothing wrong with me that I know of but I’m old, a 60 something so I ask people who speak fast to speak more slowly so I can catch up and process information 😊😊😊
Connie, you are so gorgeous! You look so much younger than your age. Thank you for taking the time to answer questions. Looking forward to your big news! 🥰
I love the way you talk slowly & softly.

Thank you Connie for sharing your life experience...you are a comforting person and your way of seeing and practicing this life is very motivating....never to late to change the bad habits if the baby boomers....at 73 you inspire me to go on and make the most of it....keep on sending these beautiful messages...xx Patrick from Canada
I paid to have my entire apartment emptied after almost 24 years at age 79, and I moved to Queretaro. for a safer and less expensive city in Mexico. I do not carry a purse or cash, for I stay home. I do have 6 months food and rent money. The money is to pay my rent, when debit card is down. I moved at 79 to a less expensive and safer country, where there is plenty food etc. I use online shopping for groceries etc. for home delivery.
There is nothing wrong with speaking slowly, I find you have a very soothing voice and you speak clear and I don't miss anything.
I throughly enjoyed this video! It’s nice to kind of get to know you in a sense. It is also relaxing and calming to hear you speak. I could listen to you all day!! Thank you Connie! I’m always looking forward to more videos!

Hi, I am from India. I like your videos and now you became an inspiration. I'm a single mother and moving through in a very difficult condition- financially. I don't have any friends. Nobody will hear me. They said that they are very much busy and they don't have enough time to spend with me. Now I'm 42. Once I thought that I should quit, but this kind of videos helped me a lot for survive. I am not an independent person, I'm in control of my parents- emotional blackmailing, financial control and so much. This kind of videos will give a soothing effect in my life, I really accepted you as my friend and sister. Thank you for such videos

It’s refreshing to hear an American talk in a more controlled way. As a UK citizen I find many Americans tend to talk very fast in fractured sentences and don’t take a breath in between. It can be exhausting listening sometimes. If you want to hold an audiences attention this is the way to do it and I love your attitude to life.
Wow. You have time for a walk and yoga everyday?! What a life of privilege!
Hey Connie I m writing you from Germany and as I m very engaged with Zen buddhism and with minimalism, I love your slow speaking and I was surprised about your story with the accident. I thougt you are speaking so slowly because of meditation and exercising yoga. I found your speaking always calming and giving us an incredible well beeing. Thank you so much for your blog and your also spiritual Work.

I started watching these videos because of your voice and I wouldn't say slow but calming pace of your speech - absolutely love ALL of your videos ♥️
Hi Connie! I´ve really enjoyed this video!! Thank You so much for everything!
First time watching your video . I really like the idea of being minimalist. I have over the last couple of years let alot of things go that have lost any meaningful in my life. And it felt so good. As soon as it gets warmer out I'm going through my garage and seriously down sizing all my huge collection of Christmas decorations.and any other holiday stuff. I have decided after 45 years Im so done. It's amazing how easy it is to let go. My best accomplishment I've done yet was redecorate my kitchen and dining room and the living room just by moving things around from one room to another. I love how it turned out.
Connie hearing and seeing pictures about your life and family is endearing.

What a lovely video. You are so kind to graciously answer all of the viewers questions. I would never have guessed your slower (to me more thoughtful), way you speak was from your injury. my minimalist coffee routine is literally just setting my Kone metal cone filter into my widemouth mug and then doing a pour-over and/or immersion method. so simple and also i dont have to buy the paper filters. of course metal filters doesnt yield a clean cup of coffee like paper filters do but i grew up with that kind of coffee anyways so it doesnt bother me
Great video, thank you so much.
Dear Connie thank you for another great video. I always learn a lot from you and find your voice very calming in a slightly crazy world ATM best wishes from Portugal ❤️ x
