ASIK ASIK FALLS | ALAMADA NORTH COTABATO
PRESENTS A WONDER OF NATURE

Long hidden in the thick forests of Alamada is a unique waterfalls where the water gushes out from the side of a cliff into a river 60 meters below.
There is no river from where the water would come from.
Water sprinkles from the openings in the cliff creating an image of a moving curtain of water which contrasts with the green wild vines that hang on the side of the cliff.
It is so unique that it is believed to be the only one of its kind in the whole world.
The Philippine Department of Environment and Natural Resources is moving to have Asik-Asik Falls declared as a Geological Monument.
The Asik-Asik Falls was accidentally discovered in 2011 following a wild fire which cleared the area of vegetation.
Today, as people flock to the area and farmers till the rich land surrounding the falls, the local government unit of Alamada is racing against time to protect and conserve this Wonder of Nature.
Local officials have drawn up a plan which would start a sustainable Agro-Forestry program to lure farmers away from planting cash crops like corn, upland rice and banana which require the clearing of trees.

Hello Sir: What a pleasure it is listening to a person like you. Unfortunately the falls have been or are still closed to visitors and therefore I couldn¡t realise my first dream once arrived to the Philippines. I Hope next time I will be able to visit your lovely place. About your concerns on the knowledge matter about the Philippines as whole and Mindanao in Particular, let me tell you that the ones knowing the least about it are in fact the Filipinos, and I know quite a lot about what i'm saying: Not nice to ear but the real truth it is. Wow! Amazing Mindanao, the promised land. I hope our planned tour on 2023 in Mindanao will come true. Asik asik falls is a must for me.
I was there last January 2015..we were lucky that only five plus the tour guide went there in Asik asik false for it was raining. I was full of awe and gratefullness to Our Almighty for letting be see one of His amazing landscapes..promise, I will go back again there someday. Amen

As a foreigner I have only visited Luzon region. I would love to visit asik falls but very nervous because foreigners are told to keep away. Mindinao looks beautiful ❤️

I am from Mindanao sir and it's safe here. The air is fresh and the water is so clean. You can actually drinks the water from the falls, it's so fresh and sweet.
