Asics became my favorite brand. So many hits!

I’m almost 400mi into my second pair of Novablast 3’s and I would say I use them mostly for easy runs/daily miles with maybe a few strides here and there. I use Superblast for workouts, so pace versatility isn’t as much of a priority for me when looking for a daily trainer, but it’s nice so I can bring one shoe when traveling or for someone who only needs one shoe to do everything.

I’ve used the NB3 and Superblast the same way and it’s been such a great training block. Ran the Marine Corps Marathon in the Superblast as well and no complaints!

I am saving my money for sales of novablast 3. But this one makes me think again. That look and the green color is a piece of work. Running shoes are also about the look, arent they

To be fair mine felt pretty bad on first 2 runs, stiff and got some foot numbness, now after 4 runs mine are actually a lot more enjoyable to run. Softer and slightly slower than v3 but still great IMO

I have 300mi on my Novablast 3s and they still feel responsive, and I think I'm definitely getting another couple hundred out of them... and I'm also rotating two pairs of Superblasts (330mi and 90mi) that are my current favorite shoe, hands down.... Can't wait to get my hands on the Nova4

Novablast 1 was a legend for me, definitely ended up using it more than my Clifton 7s. Novablast 2 felt a little more stable, but oddly a wee bit too heavy for what I was used to from the 1. Novablast 3 definitely feels like it slaps the ground more so than propelling me forward, but definitely a fun shoe when it works. I'm excited for the 4 when I can get them on sale.

In my opinion, the NB2 was better than the NB3 - the 3 was just a little longer that I wasn't expecting and disappointed me. I have heard that the NB4 is also longer like the 3 compared with the 2. I guess i would need to get 1/2 size smaller.

Same, the toe box to me felt big even in the 2.

I'm optimistic. The upper and the outsole seem to be improved and it looks like a sharper toe spring, which I like. Also, looks like they copied the tongue from the Deviate Nitro, which is a good thing.

Loved versions 1 & 2, never tried the third version because i had a lot of other shoes to burn. Now i am looking for the superblast in my size.

Thanks for the comment on sizing. I also found the 3 a half-size too large in my normal size so will definitely order the 4 in the same size.

I hope the Superblast 2 changes the upper also as it just isn’t that fitting or comfortable. Excited to replace my Novablast3 with the 4! Great review

The real question that you missed, would you go with this version or the last version at a steep discount. Is it worth the upgrade?

Im getting confused about sizing. Some say size up a half size and some say size down a half size. ..

How would the Novablast 4 compare to the Kayano 30 in terms of stability? Is the gap between overall stability on their neutral and stability shoes starting to close?

I would get the superblast if possible, for a faster paced shoe it is extremely stable. A lot more stable than Novablast

Glad you mentioned about feeling the bump pushing on your 'fat pad' 😅 unfortunately I get nerve issues in that area so that bump makes the shoe unusable for me 💔

Honestly... Comparing the 3 with the 4 is the 3 is much sharper with the foam response. The 4 is definitely more comfortable and softer... I think it's designed to run for nothing more than an easy pace.

I'd love to know if the Version 4 was more like the NB2 which is my favourite shoe ever or the NB3 which is fine but feels bulky by comparison?

Apprehensive with the eco foam. The Nimbus 25 eco foam felt way firmer than the NB 3 non eco

Can someone help me understand why ASICS is reporting stack heights differently now? I thought it was about 10mm lower in version 3, but apparently it’s just a reporting difference?

Wonder are nova blast 4 good choice for ultra race 50 miles in total.

I had to return the Nimbus 25 cause it was cooking my feet in 90-100 degree temps. But the Nova Blast 3 is fine for me in that temp range. Would u say the Nova Blast 4 feels as warm as the Nimbus 25?

Are the Novablast 4 any good not sure if I am going to purchase them

After trying all of the ASICS shoes I would have to say I haven't found a good one..their quality is very good and durability is good..but their geometry and foams just don't work for me..

The upper looks similar to Mizuno's SSW(Smooth Stretch Woven)

Asics seems to be overcomplicating things with all of their lines: Blast, Gel, GT, Speed. LIke, what's the dif between the NovaBlast and the SuperBlast? When would you use either one? I get the MagicSpeed and the MetaSpeed. But the NovaBlast and SuperBlast?

Nb is a daily trainer Sb is a super trainer. MagicSpeed sounds more a why shoe to me actually

Nb is gonna be a daily trainer it’s softer and less springy compared to the superblast it uses ff turbo and blast which makes it much more dense, as well as more springy the super blast is a super trainer for any kinda of run including marathon pace while the nova is not a marathon shoe

@@Wings_nutthe magic speed has a carbon plate and less cushioning. It’s a baby version of the metaspeed shoes.

With the 3 I ran 8 hours and 100km with good/excellent results (even though many people here on KZread pseudo "personal trainers" said it wasn't good!) and I no longer had tendon problems with drop 8 unlike before I ran with a drop 12 and then the roll is excellent even if it took a little time before "taming" them because at the beginning I felt like I was hopping instead of running. This version 4 weighs a little more, but the sole seems better distributed and if they hold the road well this is a very important point.....But is the 4 really that much better than the 3? I'll try it and then I'll tell you! P.s: this is a high-performance shoe for marathons up to 100km, don't listen to the "personal trainer" guys here on KZread who tell you that it's only good for 10km and half distances........

How much does a nimbus size 10 men’s weigh?

I’m considering this shoe for my first full marathon in a month. Want to break it in between now and then. Do you think it’ll work well for my goal of a sub-4 marathon? And do I have enough time to break them in? Thanks!

First 2 runs, 10 miles, these are much firmer than the 3’s. I’m not yet convinced they are worthwhile. I see others saying it takes several runs, so I will given them another 2 runs for about 10-15 miles. Also, there’s deeper outsole grip, but it’s odd, the plastic almost feels too hard, almost sliding, scraping across the asphalt when running at moderate paces. Currently concerned.

ASICS colorways are dreadful

NB4 is the Deshaun Watson of Daily Trainers. You pay the guaranteed money and it never performs

Novablast 3 was my casual walk shoe because it was pain to run in due to posterior flare and horrible outsole grip. Seems like there is no noticeable change in midsole geometry and outsole. Hard pass.
