Love the new Kayanos much needed upgrades

It feels like the Kayano 30 just came out. Wow, it's already being refreshed. I like the 31, it's less ... "round," if that makes any sense.

Also the heel is bulging out with foam which to me helps the heel to toe transition. Shoes with the heels jutted out far feel clunky on foot.

The stability system in the 30 series has been a huge upgrade for flat-footed runners.

Is the 31 a little narrower? The 30 is too wide for me, I swim left and right, 28 was perfect for me in terms of width

I really enjoy the look as well. But from a stack height perspective, it should be pretty in line with the last version. -Connor

Is the hot spot area dissapear in K31? People talk about they feel heat in K30 after some Kms

@@inres01 I've read some resolutions, some advised changing the insoles. Personally why would I do that by paying top dollar. Stability is great, the question is which one will be a viable alternative.

I wish the drop was only 5mm drop

They just keep making them worse, uglier and bulky. The 20 series was the best. After my Kayano 29s wear out I’ll try another brand.

I'm so sad these just keep getting worst and worst, its just sad. The nimbus upper is a nice touch but i still feel like its a boat and asics isn't exactly being innovative, this just feels like a hoka.

Exactly. I shared the same sentiments. ASICS recent main lineups (Kayano, Nimbus, cumulus, GTs) are just trying to copy and play catch up with Hoka. Shouldn't be named of the successful name that has been built for years.

For me , like you said, it just keeps getting worst! The first asics kayano 18 was the best!!! The worst update was probably the 28 - they had an achy metalic bit in the arch! Asics used to be a foot lifesaver, but now Im lost with no cumfy shoe...

I can’t wear Hokas due to the low drop so this fits the bill nicely. Higher drop and rockered ride.
