Asian Peanut Pancake Turnover (Apam Balik)

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Apam balik, Malaysian style. Crispy and fluffy pancake filled with roasted peanuts, sugar, creamy sweet corn, some butter and then folded into half. A true Malaysian nostalgic dish that can be eaten both for breakfast or tea.
NOTE: A mistype in the ingredients for the batter, sorry! It's supposed to be:
2 tbsp granulated sugar (25 gr), not 1/4 cup

Thank you very much. This video brings back my memory. We, kids, in Hongkong 1950s loved this snack very much. It was delicious, affordable, and could fill up our stomachs.

No, not very low heat. Use low medium heat like it says in the video. Usually the first one will be wonky but the rest will be good. Using on stick pan helps. Hope it helps, happy to know you liked it. Thanks!
