Nepal have almost 400 Elephants including wild and domesticated Elephants.
Among them almost the half of them are goverment and private domesticated Elephants. Goverment Elephants has a key role in wildlife conservation in nepal. This goverment elephant are use for the patrolling the area of park or counting the number of wildanimals like Rhino, Tiger , Gaur etc. or for research of florafauna of the park.
