아세안문화원은 국립아시아문화전당, 아시아문화원과 협력 하에 2018년 8월 29일 “한-아세안 전통음악 한마당”을 개최하였습니다. 한국과 아세안 10개국을 대표하는 연주자들로 구성된 아시아 전통 오케스트라가 아세안문화원을 찾아와, 양 지역의 음악을 보다 더 잘 이해할 수 있도록 악기 시연과 체험, 그리고 아름다운 합동연주를 선보였습니다.
In cooperation with Asia Culture Center and Asia Culture Institute, the ASEAN Culture House held “A Beautiful Harmony of ASEAN and ROK’s Traditional Music” on August 29, 2018. The Asia Traditional Orchestra, representing the 10 ASEAN countries and Korea, showcased a joint performance with demonstrations of traditional musical instruments from each country, while providing visitors with the opportunity to experience the musical instruments to enhance their better understanding of music from two regions.

If you want to live in the past, you were a colony of the Khmer Empire before forming your own nation. Your ancestors were refugees from Yunnan, China and they are still living under Han Chinese rule. Boasting too much not knowing you ruled a land that was empty with no one living there. The colony you speak of was abandoned ever since and eventually returned to the Khmers. Thai’s have so much identity crisis that your government in 1939 made everyone in your country a Thai, not Siamese because Siamese is not an ethnicity. Only the Khmer people are pure blood. How can a nation with so much identity issues come up with a culture or dance that the Khmer people created. Even your monarchy is not Thai, they are Chinese immigrants from the past.
