What an incredible adventure! This is one of my favourite travel adventures yet! Also, i'm not sure why it got cut out but the train station before Kandy is called 'Peradeniya Railway Station'. Hopefully this will help if you can't get a reserved seat! Any questions about the journey at all, as in the comments and i'll get back to you! Thanks for watching :)

Thanks for the great video and great tips. Its really amazing. The railway tract in Sri Lanka doesn't run to Nuwara Eliya. Please note that. It stops at Nanu Oya around 13 km before Nuwara Eliya. So there is no railway station in Nuwara Eliya. There printed tickets are fine as you get them for reserved seats. We still get small normal card board tickets for the unreserved section. They are still being printed in UK and imported. Also its good to noted that most foreigners like to travel either in 3 class reserve section or 2 class reserve section as you can go on the open doors. 1 class has airconditioning but on the other hand can't open the doors or windows. You are correct in that saying if you haven't booked a seat its best to get the train from Peradeniya railway station, one railway station before Kandy. If you go there, You can also get to see the old railway station of Peradeniya which is one of the oldest railway stations in Asia still standing build in 1867. Also some vintage structures like old control rooms old mozecord telephones and few other relics of the colonial era of cause with the permission from the station master. 🇨🇦❤️🇱🇰 Is there any way that you can bring some awareness to the dangers of riding on the footboard? The Sri Lankan railways have expressly stated that they won't be liable in case of an accident. Hanging outside a moving train is breaking all the safety rules, too. Your lives are worth far more than a thumbnail.

As a local i didn't even knew people buy and resell tickets for that much higher price 😮 surely this is a scam. Someone should report it to the police . tuk tuk scammers and these type of people ruining the experience for everyone 😩. And the train close the door probably because it's dangerous to ride on the foot board in that area. There one time a French girl hit the tunnel or a tree and fell off the train and then boyfriend jumped too to save her please be careful.

Please don't give miss information. There is NO railway station in Nuwara Eliya. The railway tract in Sri Lanka don't run through Nuwara Eliya. It is diverted towards Ella around 13 km before Nuwara Eliya.

Come to Bangladesh, Sylhet Division.. I guaranty you will get 100 time most beautiful view...I am from Sylhet Bangladesh...
