Imitation and Infiltration These teachers oppose the truth just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses. They have depraved minds and a counterfeit faith. -2 Timothy 3:8 God directed ten plagues against Egypt, and each one of these plagues dealt with one of their deities. The Egyptians worshipped thousands of gods. They worshipped the Nile River as a god. They worshipped the sun. And they worshipped the animals. In fact, they worshipped just about anything we could imagine. Interestingly, the serpent, specifically the cobra, was an important symbol for the Egyptians. And what was the first miracle that God performed through Moses and Aaron? Aaron threw down his staff, and it turned into a serpent, which probably was a cobra. Pharaoh’s magicians said they could do duplicate that, which they did. But Aaron’s staff consumed the magicians’ staffs. From this first miracle, God was saying to Pharaoh, “I am more powerful than you. My power is greater than your gods.” Still, Pharaoh didn’t believe. His heart only became harder. Two of Satan’s most effective strategies are imitation and infiltration. He will try to stop a work altogether, but if that isn’t successful, then he will imitate. In this way, he seeks to minimize the power and glory of God and neutralize the impact of someone’s life and testimony. For example, Jesus told a story about a farmer who sowed a field of wheat, but in the darkness of night, his neighbor came and sowed weeds among the wheat. This type of weed, also known as darnel, is almost identical to wheat in its initial stages of growth. To the undiscerning eye, it’s difficult to detect until later, when the weeds grow up and choke out the wheat. The devil uses cheap imitations in the same way. How many times have people said the reason they aren’t Christians is because there are so many hypocrites in the church? That puts followers of Jesus Christ in the very uncomfortable position of trying to defend people who don’t live what they say they believe. However, maybe they aren’t believers at all. Maybe they’re weeds among the wheat. See how effective that ploy could be? Someone who claims to be a follower of Jesus contradicts it by the way they live. Then a nonbeliever says that person is a hypocrite. Yet who is to say that individual is a hypocrite or even a Christian? Maybe the devil is using such a person for the very purpose of keeping nonbelievers from coming to faith. The Bible tells us that Pharaoh’s’ magicians, known as Jannes and Jambres (see 2 Timothy 3:8), were imitating what God was doing, thus making it look as though it wasn’t genuine. And it was a very effective strategy. We have to be careful. We’re living in critical times. While we read of many miracles in the Bible, no one ever claimed to have a miracle ministry. Believers in the early church answered God’s call to preach the gospel to nonbelievers and teach the truth of God’s Word. Miracles happened when and where God wanted them to happen. This reminds us that signs and wonders should follow believers. But believers shouldn’t follow signs and wonders.

I don't think anyone who's really a fan would concede if they came up against you in Arena. I'm hanging out with CGB on Arena... I'm not gonna just leave. I also think playing it out makes the match more satisfying for the video (as long as it's not padding out the run time for too long).

It's such a flavour fail that you can't cast Karn off of powerstones, especially Mightstone & Weakstone
I don't know why I like the historic brawl videos so much... Maybe its because we get 20 minutes more of gameplay compared to standard.

I've always said standard to me feels like playing with cheat codes. It's fun for a little bit but doesn't feel fulfilling. Limited is my personal sweet spot but I also enjoy historic brawl too because Singleton requires a bit more mastery and leads to more interesting choices.

Don't get me wrong. I enjoy watching all of CGB videos. But these Historic brawl videos just be hitting different 😂.
It's a good day when CGB isn't playing with Blue and sitting on a counter debating to counter a spell every turn :p
Sad to see Necropotence over Bitterblossom. A free creature to sac every turn... I digress. Great video CGB!
so cool to see how to use this card well. I always thought it was cool but couldn't figure out how to make it work
God, when that Beseech got cast on the Souls of Windgrace game... SUNDERING TITAN WAS RIGHT THERE!!!! Ughhhhh I hate to backseat game here, but playing the Sundering Titan and making the opponent accidentally deck themselves would've been absolutely hilarious, plus it's a big body (even though the tag team Eldrazi match up would then be played the turn after that)
@19:00 you could have Syed the ghast, sacked it on attack, which would remove the token and have got in for 3 more
ANOTHER day of historic brawl?? Keep the streak going let’s get it to 100
As a regular viewer, I actually find it satisfying when your opponents let you finish out the game. Nothing like seeing the health total hit zero or the deck run dry.
Holy shit another historic brawl video! Love it!
I'd like to see you try Delina, she's also a fun change of pace and the best red aggro commander in my opinion. Making multiple copies of OP stuff like Terror of the Peaks, Anax or the Calamity Bearer make for some crazy turns with a surprising amount of damage on a card that scales exponentially with itself, it's just a really fun effect.
41:47 I guess you could say it was a wasted land
15:00 Ayo?
I've been rocking her on and off for a while now going the low mana recursion route, this discard route is fucking evil.
With Tatsunari, Kaiser built enchantments tall, But CGB had tricks to unravel it all. The bitter blossom brought Kaiser to one health remaining, While statue struck the final blow, the game attaining. To one life Kaiser clung, but it was too little, too late, As CGB snatched victory from the jaws of fate. The crowd cheered as Tatsunari met a bitter end, And CGB stood victorious, his deck shall ascend.
Totally here for the HB. Bored of standard.
"What does it take to get an atraxa to play with me???" I'm trying to get atraxa to play with me too
I just love CGBs Timmy voice XD
Hope one day, you'll build a Konrad deck. So fun ;D
@30:30 you could indeed Edict and Invoke Despair. I think you are missing either your land drop for turn or the Mox.
@Sp3ich3rr4tt3

No you cant cast the edict of powerstone mana. After Invoke he only has one mana left from the mox.
I would love to play this deck... If Arena wasnt in maintedance 😢
I would go to my nearest iHop, but it's 1237 miles away.
surprised you didnt see another way to use Ashnod that isnt played yet.

This commander seems way too much midrangey, as good as it is, it's really slow. That Windrgrace tho, that was really something!
I play Karn in every deck. So mean.
Fun
