I feel like Pasha left strictly with an enormous legacy, his last year with Ashley had amazing choreography, it was so underrated

In my opinion best Showdance in all 16 seasons this routine was beautiful and the choreography was insane it’s an injustice she didn’t win but she’s definitely left her mark on Strictly

She didn’t deserve to win as technically she’s already experienced in dancing whereas joe or Stacey weren’t so they had to start from the very beginning

Honestly she may not be your winner or your favorite and you don't even have to like her, But this is ART and you all have to admit that. Nobody shines they way she does when she is dancing. Pure artistry is what these two gave us this whole season. I'm so proud of them and they are my winners.

I have never done contemporary dance but I love watching it. This is Ashley totally in her comfort zone and I certainly appreciate it as art :) I will be honest, I didn't always enjoy her ballroom performances, but she and Pasha have turned in some stunners. Beautiful leg extentions that look effortless, and her arms and hands are beautiful. Whenever Craig tells someone to 'finish' their lines properly, just come back and look at how Ashley extends her arm and continues right to her fingertips. Beautiful.

I think that when judging strictly as a dance competition (which it is), she's the winner, but because she had more dance experience than Stacey or Joe, one of them was inevitably going to win 💕

1:09 the timing of that dual roll/move jump on a revolving podium was astonishing. They did 9 lifts in that dance, and they all flowed and fitted perfectly with the dance moves. Truly awe-inspiring.

One of the best showdances in the history of this show. Outstanding.

@@roblex63 I danced for 25 years- she had dance training its true but take from me she is no professional ballroom/latin dancer! As incredible as she has been for the level of a TV show such as this, she'd be lost in a room full of professionals performing in competition mode. People like you want to lighten up a bit- they have had some stunning contestants over the years but no one that reached anywhere near true pro level, therefore who cares if some have training/a bit more than others. If they were all to start as 100% novices what a flipping boring ass show that would be. I certainly wouldn't watch it and you wouldn't be entertained by dances like this by the end!

For me, this is the best dance that's ever been on Strictly.

One of the most technically difficult showdances we have EVER seen on Strictly! Even more technically advanced than Caroline and Pash's contemporary inspired showdance. It's very brave to feature the revolving stage, and it's not there as a gimmick. Love one of the lifts where she pointed her feet beautifully and then purposefully flexed one of them before tapping Pasha's head. Nice touch and attention to details. 10!

SCD Observer i think pasha choreographed carolines showdance to show the emotions she’d been experiencing in her personal life and i think it showed. personally i prefer carolines but ashleys is still way better than i could ever do

I cannot stop watching. Phenomenal dancer - to put it simply, she just shines (as well as having incredible technique, strength and push and release)! The true winner. Such a shame the British public decided to discriminate against her in a way they have never done with anyone with prior dance training before.

Whether you like Ashley or not, this performance was simply stunning. Gave me goosebumps. She made a good team with Pasha. I’ve got nothing but respect for her as a performer 🙌🏼 and Pasha is an AMAZING choreographer!

Abzi Zab Danny Mac is definitely one of the best, certainly the best male ever on the show.

At 0:20 she gets stuck and tied up on her ropes and I got scared that it would ruin this masterpiece

@@roblex63 Ashley used to dance jazz and hip-hop as a child. She had to work as hard as anyone else to produce something like this. Please can we stop putting her hard work down to "dance experience."

As Pasha leaves Strictly, I want to thank him for all he has given to the show over all the years. He has showcased every partner and his choreography is so selfless... Letting the celebrity shine. Good luck for the future, Pasha x

Great emotion, graceful lifts, amazing lines she pulled, great synchronisation, loved those solo jump lifts, the storytelling is just FAB-U-LOUS one 9f the best showdance's ever and to dance on a spinning machine *10/10*

I can't stop watching this. It summed up their journey perfectly. She had no chance but she deserved it.

Why are people saying there is no way she would've won? I'm really confused. I haven't been watching the show but after watching all of the final performances on KZread I don't understand why she didn't win? This dance was amazing!

@@blueberella She was in the bottom 2 the last 3 weeks leading into the finals. The other 3 final contestants never were in the bottom. The public votes on the winner so she never stood a chance. They held her prior dance experience against her all season.

andrea s yeah strictly is just one big popularity contest you can be an amazing dancer but the British public have to vote for you to stay it, that’s one of the major flaws of strictly I wished they change the rules Somehow making it more fair.

This season was in my opinion the best series. It had so many great dancers and lots of unforgettable dances like this one. No other series has made me as happy as this one.

The most beautiful dance I've ever seen on Strictly. It was truly breathtaking. She should have won from this dance alone. It was stunning 💜

ASTONISHING!!! Really magnificent, breathtaking and mesmerizing. The level of complexity and the intricacy of this number was unbelievable, but she pulled it off, without a single mistake, without a single wobble and it was out of the world. Perfect, professional and mind-blowing from start to finish. Best show-dance EVER on SCD!!!A 10!!!

I'm so glad I got to see Ashley on this show. This was an UNREAL show dance. I cannot believe my eyes. That revolving stage could have been very gimmicky and annoying, but it was integrated so well! The lifts, the moved on the platform, EVERYTHING was such a risk, and anything could have gone wrong at any moment. But it was so amazingly executed, and the little touches in her hand movements and the look on her face... wow. One of the best show dances in all 16 seasons of this show (maybe the best, reply with some others that rival it, though). Just astounding... I cannot express how much I love this dance. 10!!!!!

Hmmm CORRECTION: This is one of the (if not THE) best DANCES ever on Strictly, not just Showdances. My favourite Showdance before this was probably Caroline's (obviously Pasha is just so brave!) and Ore's was a no.2 for me. Natalie Gumede, Alesha Dixon (show dances not scored in her time though), Kellie Bright, Louis Smith and Debbie's were my other faves. but they do not compare to this. Outstanding. It will take months for me to even forget this a little bit!

@A random cloud in the sky Fleurs shoedance wasn't anywhere near as good as this. Loved Fleurs CC though. One of if not the best dance ever in the show.

Quite simply one of the if not THE best performance and most difficult routines we have ever seen on Strictly. I cannot believe that she hasn't got more praise below from commenters who are as avid fans of the show as I am! If I could give a second by second commentary of each detail and each trick on display here i would be here all week! Just stunning and staggering. I think we will look back on this series in a few years time with great shame that she has been so discriminated against due to her history and that she has not got the praise she deserves for this and other dances in which she has taken the show to new heights. Even if she hadn't been outstanding in her Salsa and Charleston (she was!) she should have won just for this! 10! 10! 10! 10! (because one doesn't feel enough)

Great dance but too much lift

I was really hoping Ashley and pasha would do something of this style for their showdance, because I've always adored Caroline and pasha's routine and saw that Ashley excelled at contemporary in the couple's choice, and they didn't disappoint! I knew Ashley would never win because of how unpopular her dance experience made her but I'm so glad the judges got her as far as they did so she could do this showdance!

I must admit this was phenomenal

Honestly I’m on the verge of crying this is so beautiful

Simply breathtaking. The technique is excellent. My favourite showdance and their best dance.

Absolutely beautiful! Best dance of the whole series. I love watching these two and will miss seeing them each week. Ashley has an amazing way of bringing you into the dance and feeling the music. Outstanding dancer!!!

I know she is a trained dancer but i dont care this was beautiful and possibly the best show dance of all series. She is a beautiful dancer and the risks Pasha took with her shows how much he trusts her they are perfect together

Thanks to Ashley and Faye for all the tears. I cry Strictly happy tears often when they do well but more than ever this season. They were never going to win and the only surprise is that anybody who's seen previous seasons was surprised at the vote. A puppy could run around the floor each week and it'd win, because puppies are lovely and awwww, bless. It's how the public are but who cares? The trophy's a silly bauble that doesn't even fit on a mantelpiece. We get to see all their dances - thank goodness they stopped eliminating a finalist before their showdance - and we get brilliant finals, with KZread clips to bookmark and enjoy again, so we're the winners. Now, since they got rid of eliminating a finalist, can we look at the other improvement which needs to be made: the Chrismas Specials having clowns like Widdecombe returning. Where is our All Stars show? We need a champion of champions. And we need it every Christmas.

Absolutely breathtaking .

determined many weeks ago who would be lifting the trophy. strictly is an infectious tv programme, and yes, the public will vote for their personal favourite. however, on a few occasions, the more deserving dancer has not won. this is one of those examples, along with Natalie Gumede, Danny Mac. totally enjoyed this series, great array of celebrity dancers. i agree with a previous comment, Ashley has undoubtedly left her mark on "strictly"

Ashley is a fantastic dancer. If she'd been on DWTS she'd have walked it. Here in the UK though people tend to have a different mind-set; for Brits its more about the journey the celeb goes on and watching the way they improve week by week. But that doesn't take anything away from this talented lady.

Thankfully, not all of us. I'm a brit and absolutely loved Ashley. Voted for her and everything. Loved it.

This dance was bloody amazing and Ashley was fantastic on Strictly she was a joy to watch. I loved all the people in the final & I'm happy Stacey and Kevin won, but i really felt for Ashley. She was targeted from early on. There has been so many trained dancers that have been on Strictly through the years, Jay Mcguiness was a trained dancer and he won (I loved him). People go on about Ashley's personality that shes smug i don't agree i think she seems a little awkward sometimes but not smug. Ashley's NOT trained in ballroom and latin, where as Faye cv says she is trained in them, but no one said a word about Faye. Finally Ashley's (& Faye's) choreography was alot harder than the non dancers and the judges expected alot more from Ashley (trained dancers) than the non dancers for the same score.

@YoshiPeach Mario That's your opinion and i respect that, but since even Good Morning Britain mentioned she was being targeted (perhaps that's too strong a word) i don't think it was just no one voting, people were being rude about her personality and looks which isn't on.

You summed it up so well. Although in my heart I love a journey of a non dancer, Ashley/Faye did have more technical content and get judged more harshly and rightly so. I thought she seemed like a sweetheart!

First they stop anybody with dance experience taking part. You were in a pop video? Oh, you must be great at the Charleston, so no. Then they stop having athletes, because it's tiring doing all that training and you've got core strength, dahling, so no. Then they get rid of musicians who can keep a beat. Sorry, you've got an unfair advantage. That leaves us with a bunch of TV chefs and ageing ex-politicians. What a final we can look forward to then, folks! Of course it's be back to 11pm on a Monday night, because nobody wants to watch that show.

Ashley is a showwoman and is superb and is taking this contest by breathtaking performances. She is doing finely.

This was UNREAL

Ashley or Faye should have won strictly as their performances have always been the strongest. Obviously it was decided that her experience in dance wasn't that vast for her not to be on the show. Well done Ashley, full marks tonight in all dances and top of the leader board for 7 weeks. You are a clear winner even though you didn't lift the glitter ball on account being unpopular.

I agree that Ashley or Faye should have won because they were the best dancers. However, Stacey also deserved to win because she was overall the most improved dancer, having come in without dance experience

I thought she hurt herself in this dance because there was red on her teeth when she was going up the stairs, turned out it was just lipstick lol. Absolutely loved this!

This was honestly amazing. Have to say that she'd really grown on me by the end, got to see more of her as a person rather than the performer.

One of the best showdances of Strictly history, can't believe the technical expertise shown considering her lack of experience! Unfortunately, she didn't ever resonate with the crowds, but she is a winner in Strictly history. Also her contemporary routine should have been the first 40 of the year.

Well I cannot deny this dance is A-MAZ-ING. I don’t know if I’m happy with it being very similar to the contemporary performance. However this dance was the most challenging and she performed exquisitely 10!
