I wasn’t a teenager but I loved VS models makeup from years ago.

I grew up in the late nineties and I was dark haired blue eyed. I remember watching Requiem for a Dream with Jennifer Connelly and Jared Leto and the makeup looks in that film were just so grungy and sexy at the same time. Also, Pulp Fiction was a big inspiration with the sleek dark hair and pale skin of Umma Thurman. I was a lot younger when that came out but I still loved all the looks.

I was obsessed with Kristin Cavallari!! Her hair and everything was so dang cool to me lol.

For me the smoky eye became really popular with Donna Mills from the Knot’s Landing TV show in the eighties. I was a young adult then and tried many times to recreate that look. This was a fun video to watch 🩷

More!! I loved Hilary Duff, Pink, Britney, Paris, Xtina... Avril Lavigne got huge when i was starting high school. Since the beginning, I've been told I look like Avril.... Especially if I do a dark smokey eye. I find it super flattering, but I don't see it lol. Love this series idea 💗

The first time that I REALLY remember thinking about makeup and that it was something that people "did" was watching The Breakfast Club. Molly Ringwald putting lipstick on with her cleavage and then giving Ally Sheedy a makeover was iconic! It only took me a few days to find Grace Jones, Debbie Harry, Iman, Bridgitte Bardot and the world of "Makeup"

This is so awesome i love this ❤ i would love to see more. I loved Gwen Stefani when she was in NoDoubt specifically i remember the Hey Baby and Ex-girlfriend music videos i loved those. I also loved Britney Spears and Christina Aguileras makeup when they did their smokey eyes, especially from Christina Aguileras Stripped CD cover look. Also Gerard Way makeup style in the Helena video. Thinking back i loved makeup but i was only aloud to wear mascara and lipgloss even in high school lol so now in my mid 30s i am all about grunge looks right now 😂🖤

I love that you did Ashley Olsen because this was one of my favorite looks from her! I loved the grungy, bronze smokey eye! Back then, I never thought I could pull it off as a glasses wearer haha. Ya see Ash, I didn't get into makeup til later in life. But I love videos like this because it gives me so many ideas and inspo for doing my makeup now. I would love just tutorials in general, I missed that era on YT.

I enjoyed this! You turned out gorgeous. I think the only difference between hers and yours was that it looks like her eyeliner was more of a smokey Gray rather than a black. It was fun to hear your decision-making process. I always admired Kristy Turlington's super model 90s make up looks.

Love this!! I wanted to look like Kelly Mcgillis after I saw TOP GUN:) I watched MTV and admired the makeup, but still always did fairly minimal makeup. Then got onto my 40s and needed more makeup and found Kandee Johnson here on You Tube . My daughter even used a tutorial to do here prom makeup. ❤

Girl, I am 63 and have worn makeup since I was 13, but I cannot remember who influenced my look in the 70s.

Love it! I have a feeling she did have that look on for many hours, but you rocked it in a fresh way.

i think you did it! i mean your undertone and coloring is different from hers so maybe that's why you think you didn't, but i'd say it's pretty spot on. her blush is lighter is prob the only thing i notice.

I use the Loreal Lumi Glotion a lot with my Bareminerals original powder foundation.

It actually did come out looking very similar. You and her have some similarities as well. I rhink yours went a little darker on the eyeliner. I imagine hers looked like that in the beginning but faded a bit.

I ALWAYS loved the twins eye makeup like that but it truly only looks good on huge round eyes . The smoky all the way around the eye just truly compliments those with super big eyes and super round eyes ....i always tried it on my own eyes and it would look so BAD on my eye shape

As a child of the 80s, the only thing I can think of would be Pat Benatar🙂🤷‍♀️

All the 90’s models like Cindy Crawford and Christy turlington. Also Kate moss like all the magazine covers from that era. I feel like 2023 makeup is so boring. Like clean girl isn’t even makeup. I like watching people create looks they don’t have to be colorful and they can be wearable but it needs to have an artist behind it. Thanks for this!!!!!

The volume on your videos sucks pretty bad. I can barely hear you with my volume all the way up. My phone doesn’t get very loud but your videos are much quieter than everyone else’s. Talk louder lol

I've increased the volume all the way up on my editing software, and unless my daughter is napping, I talk pretty loud. I've literally had people say I talk too loud. I don't think I'll be able to please everybody's conditions, unfortunately. Sorry if it doesn't work for you. 🫤
