At the start it says " Ashes remain" and then "here for a reason. If we read it "Ashes remain here for a reason", isn't that a message saying something like "ashes remain after something so burnt so that we can build it over and better, based on what those Ashes once were."? It makes me feel like everything bad that happens simply happens so that we can make it better than it once was...

7 years later, I've just come across Ashes Remain. I wish I would have heard this song 7 years ago. I had just lost my husband of almost 25 yrs in June. We missed it by 3 weeks. My children lost their dad and my in-laws lost their only child. But, here I am, 7 yrs later and this song is speaking to me even now. I don't believe I stubbled upon them accidentally.....I'm Here For A Reason!

Very sorry for your loss, had a call to resus a 26 once, he died in front of his spouse, the pain she felt was so horrible, that even thinking about it i feel a knot in my throat, i never wish that pain to anybody, very very sorry and hope you are doing better today

we cant live without gods love. It really is in our lives were just blinded by our flesh. me a Christian blinded too by it. but even a blind man can believe he sees something. thats our hope. jesus is there we may not see him but we desire him with our beliefs. 😁😃😄 we stumble and fail daily. but god IS there. 🙌 amen.

I was at the gym today when this song came on my pandora station. I was having a pretty bad day and just feeling down on life. This song has brought me to my senses and made me a stronger person. my oldest brother passed away when he was 16, a nightmare that my dad still grips onto everyday. one night i prayed to God that my big bro is in a better place and that exact night i had a dream where i walked up some stairs, and i specifically remember 2 marines that asked me who im looking for and i answered im here to see my brother. i opened the door and heavenly skies and sunlight filled the room, my brother was there glowing like an angel and we gave eachother a big hug with tears rolling down both our eyes. i was crying in my sleep as after i woke up my pillow was soaked with tears. i believe God answered my prayer that night, took me to his kingdom and reunited me with my brother to show me that he's blessed with eternal life. this revelation only strengthened my faith and my loyalty to God and my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ the son of God and the king of Heaven.

The first half of this year was truly when i reached my lowest point. Broke my knee in January. Lost a close friend in February after she jumped from a friends vehicle while drunk and then lost my grandfather 2 months afterwards. 13 self harm incidents, 1 suicide attempt and 1 hospital visit for a mental health evaluation. The day immediately after that. This song came up. God heard me and found me when i was lost in the darkness. Here i am now, finding meaning in my life and knowing that my existence is not a mistake

I love Christian music. It brings hope to a hopeless world

I'm not even christian but this song always brings tears to my eyes. A few of my friends have taken their own lives, and this song really relays a beautiful message of holding on and that no matter what we are all here for a reason, and nothing is worth taking your own life.

In all honesty this song inspires me to keep moving on with my life, even when I keep telling myself to eat the gun. But ashes remains reminds me that I was here for a reason. I have been dealing with a lot lately and tonight I almost ended my life. I was confronted by a brother in Christ and he just listened to me and let me speak my feelings. I then felt I needed to listen and search for new music for my rock playlist and I found this song and it really gives me hope that I mean something to someone and that like the lyrics say every breath you take has meaning. I hope that I can figure out my emotions and how I can serve others in the way my brother served me.

Welp. I miss their old days. They've gone way too cheesy lately. What happened to the ol' tunes in Last Day Breathing and Red Devotion? This doesn't sound bad, but compared to those... I listen to this and I don't feel like listening to Ashes Remain. I mean RED deviated a bit from their core style in Release the Panic but they got back with "of Beauty and Rage" and delivered the best from their first 3 albums neatly. Why is it so hard to find a consistent band nowadays? :(

Heard this song for the first time tonight on pandora after a rough day at work. I struggle with anxiety a d depression and my emotions were just getting the best of me but this song really resonates with some of what I have problems with definitely saving it to listen too over and over again

This is the best song ever with a great message. There is some kind of plan out there you just have to believe in it.

Time to lay down some truth. Yes this song can inspire whether you are a Christian or not. And I am all for that. However I see some who say that the 'religious aspects' to it somehow distract. I'll have you know that a true relationship with the Lord is more than any religion can hope to be. There is objectively a God, and therefore objectively a reason for your life. We are not here by accident. There is a difference between feeling like there is a purpose to your life and KNOWING for a fact that there is. God is real, God loves you, and God has you here for a reason, and there's nothing anyone can do to change that!
