Ashes of Love is one of my favorite xianxia, despite it being a few years old. The storyline, character development, the romance, ost, you name it…IT’S ALL THERE. I laughed and cried, all my emotions during my rewatch. I’ve forgotten how much I ❤ this drama, having my heart broken and twisted. 😭 Their love was so strong that it can defy fate and overcome everything but had to pay a heavy price for their happy ending. As for Run Yu, I don’t agree with what he did. We can see Run Yu’s character was wonderfully made in this drama. He didn’t just turn to evil out of nowhere, everything had a reason and was built step by step which made me hate what he did yet I could pity him at the same time.

You know that a drama is excellent if youu can still remember their names their nickname even can sing along the melody of the song after all the heartbreaking cdramas u have watched. This would always be your top most favorite among them.

I forgot how much heartache this couple gave me with the scene at the wedding when she told him she never loved him. Ironically, I still love them and this drama so much! And this video so perfectly captures its essence that I love it even more. The editing is absolutely stunning. Brilliant work on this!

Fish fairy really broke my heart in this drama , he went from good guy to bad .. I was so hurt when he fixed the thingy which was prevent Jin min from feeling love and other emotions

Yes, I was so sad and disappointed by his behavior. All he wanted was to be loved, but went down the wrong path to try to get it. 🥲

I remember having very serious second male lead crush, while watching this drama. And Yang Zi was So cute at the early stages of this drama. First couple of episodes she made me laugh all the time. I have been following Luo Yunxi ever since. Great actor. He is now leading his own dramas. Currently watching Till the end of the moon. He found a great leading lady in Bai Lu. Their chemistry is no joke. One of the best I have ever seen in CDrama ❤

This drama has a special place in my heart. I'm Turkish and it was my first C-drama and what started my love for C-drama. One of my favourites.

I never rewatch dramas but this time I did. The joy I felt while watching this drama was unreal. It was my 2nd Xianxia in 2019 after the Legend of Fuyao. I can confidently say, this is my favorite drama of all time. For me, it didn't lack in any way, characters/OSTs/storyline/twists/character development/costumes/cinematography- everything was perfect. Plus, it also kinda led the way for some storylines we see today.

I have seen this series a year ago but I keep coming back....Forever AOL Miss the Dragon series opened my interest to Cdramas, but series made me fall in love with Cdramas. Im hooked. AOL made me laugh so hard, AOL made me believe in love like Xu Feng and this series hurts me so bad especially on later episodes when Jin Mi stabbed Xu Feng.. Their love was greatly challenged thinking they will never get back in each other's arms. But true love always conquers all.. Thank you DL and Z, though it is impossible for you two to work again and DL to be back on the silver screen, I will forever be a LUZI fan..I sorely miss you, especially Deng Lun😢

I never heard the English version of the UNSULLIED and UPWARD TO THE MOON. She has a great voice but the Chinese versions sound so perfect

I’ve been watching Wuxia for ages but my first 2 Xianxia dramas are Ten Miles of Peach Blossom and Ashes of Love, and it spoil me too much and put a high standard of my next Xianxia drama 😂 so I’m a bit picky when choosing one Ashes of Love would be perfect if they didn’t draging the story of Run yu. I understand the drama just want to show the back story of him and why he became ‘evil’ but it just too much, I even can’t see the main couple in one episode! Thank you for the MV, I love it!! My fav eps is when they coming to mortal world, I really love the ‘wuxia’ story there ❤ and I love the music that u choose. When you heard the ost and your heart feels like ripping apart when watching the drama the it must be a great ost 😂

Thank you so much! I’m a very huge fan of xianxias myself. 😍 I actually love their time together in the mortal world the most because they were able to express their love freely and purely. That’s why I spent a bit more time on the mortal arc in this video. 😅

I like to think Ten Miles of Peach Blossom has inspired a lot of xianxia dramas and Ashes of Love is the best one out of Love and Destiny, Love and Redemption, etc. The leads in Ashes of Love were incredible. Though we haven't seen Deng Lun in one or Luo Yun Xi, Yang Zi at least has been in another xianxia. This mv was wonderful and I loved the music you used. I haven't gotten into a xianxia drama like TMoPB and AoL as the story plot got boring but I still enjoy the mv's of them. Now I patiently wait for the one that stars Luo Yun Xi and another successful actress (Can't remember her name) but it's a xianxia with travelling back to change the Demon Lord, something along those lines ❤

Luo Yun Xi is just incredibly charming and hot, I watched his Fox drama before Ashes of Love. Every year has a big xianxia drama release, we got two this year, so I'm looking forward to next years even if I only end up watching the mvs

I’m also waiting for Immortality too since the novel was just soo good and emotional! Me watching Lighter and Princess doesn’t help because Arthur Chen reminds me of Immorality. 😂 Don’t get me started on Till the End of the Moon. This was my xianxia so this hits so different than all your other works ❤(it's also so funny seeing him in the beginning which the phoenix feathers cause all I can think of is Ling Bu Yi's 'chicken' armor 😂 but I guess his are 'crow feathers' after being in the human real haha 3:05 loved that scene😍! Love that you used the change in song for transition of their arcs, especially the first transition 👌on point! and the glitch is affect is always one of my favs when you use it like at 10:22 😍

@@trudzmac So glad we have the same thoughts! 😂 These xianxia dramas are usually 50+ episodes. Even with the new dramas splitting into Part 1 & 2, some are easily over 50 episodes. I cannot cram in all the content in less than 20 minutes now.

I do not whether you remember or not but in your ten miles of peach blossom I did commented about making an edit for this drama and one way or other you did make my wishes came true and like always your edit was to the point . In fact it was able to wrap up 50+ episode in 20+ minute. But my little greedy heart has one more request to make it is a modern rom com chinese light hearted drama A Romance of the Little Forest (2022) starring ‎Vin Zhang and Esther Yu. If only you have time and want to make a new edit of a drama then please consider it as it will be worth it. Always waiting for new updates☺

500 years is not too bad in terms of time. There are some Cdramas where the couple have waited 1,000 or 10,000 years for each other. I want to say in Ancient Love Poetry, the waiting period was 60,000 years. Now THAT is a long time. 😅

Wow, you succeed to throw out all the toxic scenes from their relationship (this Phoenix is shit). I would be really excited to watch the drama if i didn't know the background. The Phoenix is proud, egoistic, coward, etc. He toyed with her so much bc of his resentment even knowing that she didn't knew about the truth about her father's murdered. This drama sucks, a truly bad representation of women's personality, we are strong, independent and clear about distinguish right from wrong.

yeah Phoenix is egoistic sometimes, but he's not toxic- that's all Runyu. i believe you are referring to the events that happened after Phoenix's resurrection? in that case, you should try understanding Phoenix's point of view. the girl he loved literally stabbed him; he had every right to be upset with her.
