It worked well without one. Back in these days they had to rely on good writing and voice acting instead of over the top facial expressions and music to emotionally manipulate the player.

@@cristianbernal8009 When it was filmed is completely irrelevant. The Wrathgate cinematic and the DK starting experience were all part of the WotLK expansion launch. They were made at the same time. So, no.

By the way this is over 12+ years done , still gives me chills!

LOL NOT even close. You're just being COMPLETELY whiny right now because you're not making ANY sense here in the slightest as Cataclysm WAS Great, Mists of Pandaria was FANTASTIC, Legion was FANTASTIC, and Battle for Azeroth started off REALLY good but then things went fuzzy later own. There was PLENTY of fantastic lore and story additions that was added AFTER Wrath of the Lich King, you're just being negative for the sake of it by saying "tHiS 6 mInTUe cLiP iS mORE MeaNinGfuL aND mOViNg thAN thE laSt 4 oR 5 ExpANsiONs", lol Just no, spoken like someone who doesn't like to pay attention. Even the cinematics for Battle for Azeroths WERE highly meaningful and emotionally impactful especially with those with Saurfang. As well as the animated shorts for them. Just stop with this whiny nonsense of yours.

@@drathick9390 To be fair its the same thing that happened with Uther and Arthas just to show the power of the death knights. Warcraft isn't just about the strong good guys winning, for evil to make an impact and even be a credible threat the story needs to show they aren't something to be taken lightly. See: Scourge and the Sunwell + Invading much of Azeroth. Deathwing + the sundering, wounding the world iteself etc... Sure we all hate to see a character go, but that is part of what makes them so memorable.

In hindsight, the greatest tactical mistake the Lich King ever made, was ordering Kel'thuzad to kill Alexandros Mograine, the original Ashbringer. His death eventually(indirectly) led to the formation of both the Argent Crusade and the Ebon Blade. I remember a piece of dialogue told by Korfax(the guy with the Arcanite Reaper in the video, a total badass btw). If you interacted with him and asked him about Dreadnaught Armor in Vanilla, he would say that the death of Highlord Mograine was tragic, but where one would fall, many would rise. Ultimately, he was prophetically right. Such a cool storyline...

No he wasnt, floyd van buskirk is the voice of tirion, not bernard hill (theoden)

I haven't played in awhile and not sure if I will ever pick it up again, but this video, this moment captured in the game, will always make me cry. The words spoken during this scene still give me chills. I was proud to be a Paladin and wore my Argent Crusade colors from there on out.

14 years ago...it sounds silly but this video helped shape me as a person. Honor, and trusting in the Light(whatever you think that is) has done much for me.

And Tirion's death in legion had to have been the most unsatisfying deaths in the history of anything. Such a fucking disappointment... They better bring him back in Shadowlands or I swear to god I'm not playing anymore lol, he was like my favorite character

His death was honestly an embarrassment to everything he did in Wotlk, when i first saw it i honestly thought it was a joke or a dream or he wasnt dead.

I didn't mind his death that much, they'd been wasting his character for a long time, he did almost nothing after WotLK. As soon as Tirion saw the Forsaken actively using the plague he should have marched upon Lordaeron to annihilate them. That's not him choosing the Alliance's side, that's him fighting against evil, as he set out to do. The Argent Crusade and Cenarion Circle were trying to cure the plaguelands, meanwhile the Forsaken were down in Gilneas and Hillsbrad plague nuking the shit out of it. There's no way Tirion just stands by and watches.

Tirion is shit I've enjoyed watching him die when gul dan teared him apart in Legion

After all these years, prepares this video still pleasant goosebumps. It was thought as if it were a scene from a Warcraft movie. Epic from beginning to end, accompanied with the most appropriate music. Millions of viewers saw the video, which demonstrates at least for a good video.

God I remember this quest, the most epic storyline of all time

This never gets old, every time I watch this it just becomes more epic. Thank you for this awesome music playing in the backround xD

It remains one of the greatest fan-made WoW videos ever made.

The moment that gave me the chills. was when Tiron said to Darion: ,,HAVE YOU LEARNED NOTHING BOY!'' it was like my father talked to me.

"You're a fool, Paladin. You assembled the greatest force on Azeroth, and delivered them right ... into... my... hands" -- The Lich King, Icecrown Citadel, Final Battle. Epic :D

18 years when i first watched this with goosebumps everywhere. Now i’m 28 and i’m still getting goosebumps!!! AAAAAARTHAAAAAS!!! rip fordring.

I just imagine that there are like hundreds of holy ghosts watching Tirion's speech at the end. Makes it more epic.

If there is one thing I love about Blizzard, it's the voice actors. They give the characters so much life and emotion that it brought tears to my eyes. The whole Arthas/Lich King/Darion story is just...I always get sad or even cry when it comes to it.

This is the pinnacle of story telling from World of Warcraft. Nothing else came even close.

This video will never get old

+Atraira Finally someone who agrees with me. The line does not even make any sense when the Light itself is not considered to be deity, but a force of nature more akin to the Force from Star Wars. One of the worst lines in the film for me. Though, TotP III had a very weird way of portraying Paladins in general. Things like them being able to fly, them being able to go into the Emerald Dream, and absorbing another Paladin's essence by killing them to gain the Light's favour are very non-Paladin like to begin with. While I respect the film for what it managed to achieve at the time, the story itself is nothing to write home about.

Great piece of cinematography, despite the low graphic quality. Loved it, great job and keep it up!!

PersianWarlock Yeah well if the first movie does well and is executed good then I'm sure future moves at some point will include Arthas. If anything they will prolly start with Arthas from the beginning slowly introducing him as the good guy that he was intially. It might make for a fucking epic movie once he is defeated. I cant even imagine how perfect Arthas will look in a fucking movie setting.

Both the Death Knight class and this video are freaking awesome! Nice job Ataria, I tip my hat to you! :D

Story narrative was so much better when we the players were just some side characters instead of these God Tier Champions of Azeroth. If the Wotlk Story telling was just like BFA-s Tirions Speech would be like: RISE CHAMPIUUUUUN and listen: Arthas is mining Azerite in Icecrown, put a stop to him! And then proceed to kill him with a Kamehameha.

I miss Tirion's old look. He looked less like the guy you'd want to mess with.
