@K. Woodens Everyone doesn't have to be a full on vocalist like the best of them to be able to sing, write music, and create music that people can feel + relate to. Ashanti has a nice voice and it fits the style of music she writes. There are artists with "bigger" more successful careers with less talent than she has. She has integrity as an artist and releases quality music. She's killing it in her own lane.

@K. WoodensWell we’re on a thread talking about her all these years later. She’s trending and for positive reasons. Her Verzuz had over 10 million views. All the young rappers are sampling her music and asking for features. She was the star of Fat Joe vs Ja Rule Verzuz. She’s made so much money from writing that she really hasn’t had to put out new music consecutively. She’s a touring artist still today and always booked for shows. She’s stays ins a vacation too. So sounds like a success story to me. Also when your independent album sales are normally lower than when you are backed by a major label. Some artist don’t mind that though because they already have a core fan base and they make more money because they don’t owe a label on the back end.

Let me not forget about Mrs.Tamron looking like a lovely 👑 herself while interviewing ☝🏽 🙌🏽

He had more than 20 people he could have hugged before he got to her. Nelly has been wanting her back for years, his ego and pride wouldn’t allow him to approach her. Trust and believe he was sending messages through her industry friends back to her. Ashanti just never budged. His parents still talks to her even after they broke up.
