I'm very pleased that Iris's Axew have finally evolved into Haxorus off screen at last although it's a shame🤔 we never got to see her Gible evolved all the way up to Garchamp in this episode or reveal to Ash that she caught a Gible of her own on her journey. But as for Iris I'm very surprise that she replace Alder and became the next Unova Region Champion, I didn't know this whole time she had return to conpete in the Unova League like Ash did.

Bruh did you play Black 2 or White 2? I'm pretty sure anyone that heard Iris coming back that has played both Black and White 2 already knew that Iris would be the champion of Unova. Yes, she was a gym leader in Black and White (in the games), however, the writers wouldn't do that after parting ways with Ash for a long time, she would just come back in XY to show her progress as a Dragon trainer by being a gym leader but XY didn't give us a lot of references and flashbacks to older characters or Pokemon. As for Sun and Moon, they mostly focused on Kanto since it was the 20th anniversary so bringing her back wouldn't make sense. As for her then Gible, she would have had a Garchomp by now since she is the Champion of Unova. The reason why we don't have any proof tho is that the only Dragons that we're mostly seen in the Black and White anime were her then Axew and Dragonite. So why does her Gible need to be part of the development when it was caught near the end of the series?

I really wish that we could've seen Axew grow and evolve throughout BW rather than having it happen off screen. I'm glad that Journeys still gave Iris the arc that she deserved despite only getting 1 episode to do it. I think this just goes to show that the writing in BW in general was just so abhorrent that a later series had to go back and retroactively fix it.
