Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II on Sunday, June 30, 2024, gave audience to the Speaker of Parliament, Rt Hon Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin.
The Speaker is on a three-day visit to the Ashanti Region as part of nationwide activities marking the 30th-anniversary celebration of the Fourth Republic.
He was accompanied by his wife, Linda Ofosuaa, the Second Deputy Speaker, Hon Andrew Adomako Asiamah, the MP for Asokwa, Hon Patricia Appiagyei, the MP for Sekyere Afram Plains, Hon Alexander Adomako Ntim, the MP for Asante Akim Central, Hon Kwame Anyimadu-Antwi, Clerks of Parliament and other Parliamentary staff.

Yes, if you have a governance system and a practicing democracy like ours where Ministers are selected from within Parliament, MPs will always act to please the Executive. The problem is our dysfunctional constitution which needs a massive reform.

Who said there's no King in Ghana? Is he and his cohorts watching? ONLY A KING RECEIVES SUCH UNFORCED. REVERENCE FROM PEOPLE NEAR AND FAR. Such reverence to submit one self totally to the Ohene on one's own accord regardless of their persuasions is the testament that this Ohene is undeniably above EVERY Omanhene. Dormaa and his cohorts see such respectful gestures accorded to only Otumfuo and their bloods begin to boil, then they plot their machinations to propagating a notion that, the Asantehene is on the same level as them. However, it isn't the title of KING that is important oo, it's the authority and resources one yields, and most especially, it is the REVERENCE all manners of people, locally and internationally, accord him which shows that the Occupant of the Golden Stool/Throne is a whole King and recognized among his KING peers and revered by them too.
