Okay, the fact that she only lowered the song by one key is amazing. The original is in C# minor, and RIn goes all the way up to a C#6 (which is, erm, VERY high). Asami sings this in C minor, which is only a half step down from C# minor, meaning the highest note she hits a C6, which is only a half step down from a C#6, which is EXTREMELY impressive.

I sing in an opera chorus, so I know how this stuff works (thanks anyway). But actually, the voice change is caused by jaw manipulation and not your throat, but changing your jaw obstructs natural air flow, which causes the choking.

Hm, Asami always sounds good singing, as expected. I pitched it up to the original pitch of the song, and she sounds like Rin, it's just the way she pronounces certain vowels that differ her from Rin. I still wonder how this is even Len's voice provider at all, it seems impossible to sound like a male with this type of singing voice.

This version almost sounds more childlike to me, personally I think the original kinda sounds more “raw” and “bloody” and this one feels more like a wound has been festering for a while, which I feel is true in both circumstances, but the original kinda sounds like there was an inciting incident imo upon a long while of turmoil whereas this feels somehow more tender and less spontaneous in a way, it’s just how the delivery comes off to me ig, love these both so much

Elli Chan lol.. what meiko sakine meant was actually Asami Shimoda is the one who provided Rin and Len's voice. so whenever you heard Rin and Len's voice, it is actually Asami Shimoda's voice. so why are you stating that she sounds like Rin when SHE is the one who provided rin's voice? xD

Wow when she hits high notes you can totally tell she's Rin's voice! They sound so much alike!

The fact that asami sounds like a 14 year old when she is like 30 years old never escaped my mind

i never knew this lady was the voice actor for the kagamine twins. not only that, but she is also the voice actor for tsuda kotomi in seitokai yakuindomo. lol

Man its 2021 but i just gotta say i prefer this than the vocaloid version. I think its pretty neat.

I dig it -- shes really expressive and has good control

To be honest this is actually better than the Vocaloid version but I can't put my finger on the reason.

I still prefer the original. I just like the sound of rin a bit more. its hard to explain why.

Such beautiful vocals...makes me wish I could sing like her

Love the whine at 4:33! This is so good like even though it’s pitched down it’s not by that much? The chorus is so difficult still and she hit that. Also it’s a bit surreal to hear this after hearing rin for so long… like it’s her but my brain is like no but it’s a human? I like how some parts have a chorus effect that eases in and out

This is Asami singing in a higher pitched voice on purpose for rin and the voice to be edited or whatever. This isn't her norm voice. I've heard her normal voice sounds more like human len. But this is what rin would sound like if she were human.

Her normal voice doesn't either like Len or Rin in my opinion but this is not her normal voice for sure

The melody chanes so drastically from a low not to a high note, that I thought no one would be able to do it as a human. Well, she did.

i like it but i wish her voice was more dominant over the music. it's like she's out of breath and whispering.
