Chrisbee! Great video and thanks Lancaster! You are so right when you say every arrow counts! To compete with the big boys your set up has to be flawlessly consistent! Every arrow in your quiver needs to be trusted that it can find the center when it’s consistently released in the middle! ASA is a blast! Can’t wait til Paris! Hope to see you there! When you top ten that class (Known Pro) you are a “Shooter”! That’s for sure!

Was my first ever 3d anything. I had a blast, the people, the vibe everything was great. As a “snookie”, didn’t even rank as a rookie in my homies eyes, I finished 11 up for the weekend. Yeah I’m hooked on that stuff, I want to shoot more ASA next year, for sure. I’m booked for tournaments, will have to looked at next year. Good luck 😎👍🏼

I always have a tape that’s one off when going from my home practice range to any ASA. I’m only at 3500 feet at home and the ASA shoots are like a 100 feet to a 1000 feet above sea level. Higher humidity and thicker? air? One yard low from 30 yards and farther. Crazy stuff. So, I’ve learned to find the right tape and shoot it at home. Knowing past 30 I’m going to hit high at home.

Great vid Chris, and really love that a shooter of your ability will expose a lot of people who've never thought of trying 3D to the sport. Paige Pearce is another one. Rooting for you to make a shootoff this year. Maybe your schedule will let you shoot Bowfest, that wouldn't be too long a drive. Isn't it amazing that with all our technology, a little fog makes our rangefinders useless!

I don't use sight tape I use an caliper and blank tape. I mark the 20 then move to 40 yards and put a second mark on the tape and write in 20 & 40 respectfully. Then use a digital caliper to measure the distance and divide by two. This will enable you to mark every 10 yards using your caliper tips. Easy Peasy, 🏹🤠👍

@@xaydee3631 I tried to last season. Didn’t have a range finder and missed a few times. This year I have a rangefinder and binoculars to take with me, and I have practiced much more. Last year I was nervous shooting my bow at 40 yards. With my current setup, I’ve practiced out to 75. In the 5 months since I left this comment, I’ve grown a lot as an archer. Even still, I was 4th in the hunter division of the 3D tournament.

Not an expert by any means but i went through all sorts of scenarios last summer after bumping my draw weight up to 80lbs from 70lbs not thinking i basically made arrow set up useless. Definitely found that airing on being to stiff is better than being too weak. Good luck, hopefully you can make some minor tweaks to achieve your desired results

@@jordanpowell228 I have them cut as short as I am willing to go and am shooting the lightest tip option for these arrows. The only option I have is to lower the poundage. The paper tear isn't terrible with them though, it gets about a 1/4 inch nock left tear

Probably a dumb question but being a factory sponsored pro why wouldn't you just have a bow for every discipline you compete in? That way you wouldn't have to work last minute on sight tapes, pin size, sights and stuff, if you had a bow for every discipline you would just have to re-learn to shoot the particular bow again. Not trying to hate here guys, just trying to learn the ins and out of this sport and who better to ask than the pro's

Shooting all tens is not zero people. It’s PAR as we call it. Hate golf terms. It’s what we call EVEN. Which is 200 points. Ten points per target. 20 targets. There are two 12 point rings inside the ten point score ring. The bottom 12 is in play automatically UNLESS you say to your group before shooting “ calling the upper 12.” Then the lower 12 is considered part of the ten ring and even if you hit it there’s only ten points scored. So many people have no clue how to score. It’s utterly amazing how one could be into this game and not know the scoring system and rules.

We are about to launch this spring into 1700 stores and I was interested if you would like to be one of our state reps! As of right now we have 10 reps across the united states including one in Utah who fly fishes, but I need a super super good hunter to rep our gear. I know you have your own brand as I can see the hat, but I could gear you up with some other things. It would be amazing if you could email me at driftdogoutfitters@@t -I wanted to discuss without it being too public. It would be amazing to create a relationship + I think we could work something out.
