The video misinforms. The Assassins of Rajiv Gandhi are DEAD. These people are fringe people who involvement is culpable to various degrees. In at least one case, an officer said later that 'confession' in the report was an exaggeration. Yet all of them were over- not under- punished. They were awarded life imprisonment. As per rules they are eligible for parole which the state government has to decide. In this case, across parties and Gandhi family, everybody was on board.

I mean we also trained and armed the LTTE , so we technically played both sides in that war , so you could also say that we were responsible for some of the terrorist attacks carried out by the LTTE in Sri Lanka. But none of this justifies assassinating the Indian prime minister , if that happened in any other serious country in the world , the people responsible would have been sentenced to death in an instant.

Why would the LTTE attack Rajiv Gandhi when there was a peace deal signed? Please go through how Rajiv Gandhi backstabbed Prabhakaran to completely understand why the assassination took place. Major ravi who headed the cammandos in the investigation team said he is against letting the killers go.He said this is an insult to the nation . Also commandos wanted to do an operation to capture the killers in the bungalow alive .But karthikeyan did not allow it .Because he wanted the operation to happen only at his presence in order to get credit for the operation. He could have at lest stopped that cruel death of a sathjagrahi without food or water for 12 days. This is a highly debatable topic with no right answer. Should the killers of Rajiv be set free coz of Gandhi family's insistence? Well if Rajiv was not the PM then the request to pardon the criminal by the victim's family is often taken into consideration. I am not sure if the decision to pardon Nalini was motivated by politics or personal principles, but either way Rajiv had given his life to the country, so I think its only fair, that in death he belonged to his family.

Or have you atleast seen the chief investigating police officers' statements or interviews? We need someone to close the case that too high profile cases. It happens in India, in our courts. No one has seen and/or confirmed that she was wearing the bomb belt and switched on. It could be someone else in that crowd also. And do you know why our top Congress leaders in our Tamil nadu have left and not accompanied our ex PM candidate and not died along with him? Do they know these well before. The criminals in the congress party are still roaming free and enjoying outside and they were never remanded for questioning during the trial. No evidence of wearing the bomb belt and its not proved in the case. Not really the supporter but there is a reason why he was killed. Swamy's once close associate and his party functionary even complained to the Jain commission that Swamy was the prime suspect as he knew the assassination of Rajeev well before. But Swamy was let off the hook because he had the strong lobby in the bureaucracy. It is hard to believe anyone and remember Swamy always try to exhibit the patriotism whenever there is an opportunity.

Very Unfortunate that the Court has behaved thus.

I would still like to know: - If Hariharan was in on the plot, why did he stand so close, within the blast radius? - If he was not, why was he there, and why was he not forewarned to stay away? - How did the suicide bomber get a Pottu/ Bindhi on her forehead after she died, when it was absent before the explosion. - If it was placed afterwards, why and why did that someone not recover the camera?

Rajiv got what he deserved for sending IPKF to Sri Lanka where they tormented innocent people. The deaths of other people who were killed along with Rajiv are to be avenged, but Rajiv doesn't deserve to respected.

My mother used to tell that at his death many in TN cried. Rahul would have been strong if his father was still there.

First you have to arrest the right people, mk narayanan who withdrew protection and gave green light for the mission..Chandra Swamy who financed the killing..he later killed mr jain/ jain commission. Subramany Swamy. You guys arrested and tortured innocent people..already massive injustice done to them.

In the photos, she was seen standing next to Dhanu, unaware of the truth that she was standing next to her death. Standing next to Dhanu doesn't mean that Kokilavani was the back up suicide bomber.

This was a fantasic video! I have subscribed. It is utter NONESENSE that the terrorists who killed a PM would be given pardon and released. I feel for Nalini, I don't know much or care so much for the gandhi family and in fact dislike congress but this sets a DANGEROUS precedent. It is unacceptable.

For those who say it's politics: If Pardoning was Politics, then why can not the same be said about the Punishment? Are the Supreme Court of India and The Central Bureau of Intelligence swayed by Politics and politicians?

No matter what position the person occupies in society. It is his next of kin, who are most affected by his death and it is their right to decide what compensation or revenge is due to them. It is always their choice that is given priority.

Next, only the next of kin of those people who were killed can decide what compensation they want. Like the persons son, daughter, wife father, brother. Are those 2 lakh tamil people directly related to you?

The same, way if someone kills another, then you can only kill him in return, not his brother not his wife, not his son, not his father, only him. You cannot take the entire face for an eye either. That means you cannot kill his entire family, or him and his brother. Only him.

But you also need to understand that the method used to avenge the death of the 2lakh south indians did not solve this issue, it is going on and on. The LTTE was wiped out, and sri Lanka became bank corrupt and rajapakse got kicked out, you can call all this karma as well. So that entire episode is still continuing. If the issue solves, there is peace, to solve it you need to employ a particular method. One can forgive as well.

They claim it's a plot within Delhi. And just fabricated stories and fake evidence over Tamils. What if they are truthful. Anyhow I think 20+ years in prison. So OK. If others are in prison for 14+ years and requesting to let go! yes let go! 14 years in prison is a good punishment.

In my opinion (i do not have the right to judge anyone but) they committed a crime that could destabilise the government of India and a terrorist attack such pardons shouldn't be allowed. such harsh punishments exist to make sure others don't walk down this path. by pardoning the court is showing complacency and this will lead to more crimes. About the arguement that she should be released for her daughter, she did not think about her daughter when helping the perpetrators, she did not stop to think what would happen to her daughter if she was caught...

Totally agree,... Will these people have the same mercy for a mother doing "Nikkah Jihad" in Syria or Afghanistan ? We all have seen the popular reaction recently, hell no ! Indian legal system frees the convicted terrorists in the Rajiv Gandhi murder after suo moto hearing the case and then tells that the petition to reopen Kashmir killings cases has no legal standing as the incident happened too far back. Both the events were merely 1.5 years apart. Justice is not just blind but also missed the mathematics classes.

Indian Courts judgement is inconsistent. Sometimes, give judgement according to law. Sometimes sympathetic. Terrorist shoukd not be spared. Sometimes, judges have their own opinions and favour certain political parties through clever answers. Genuine judgement will have no karma. There is only one law and need of judgement according to law. The word Panjayath is manipulated. Judgement differs.

We INDIANS are still seeking Western Aid in such situations. Its Sad part of the past and present India and its people.

Rahul and Priyanka have seen so much betrayal in their life. Yet people make fun of Rahul knowing what all they underwent. Sonia Gandhi remained a dedicated daughter in law of the soil unlike her Indian sis in law who left her husband's party and joined the other. Yet even she is critized for her non Indian roots though she is much better than any of us.

You are right. India should not have sent Peace Keeping forces. It was to disarm LTTE, Peace Keeping forces were sent. Unfortunately, the disarmament become confrontation between Peace Keeping Force and LTTE. You are right India should nave stayed away from the internal conflict of Sri Lanka. Even Indian forces should not have trained LTTE. The LTTE problem was solved with out the interference of India at last. First India supplied training and arm to LTTE. Then Indian entered as peace keeper to dis arm LTTE. Finally, Indian neither trained nor interfered in the internal matter of India. Finally every thing is now clean.

I am really saddened by mercy shown to Rajiv Gandhi's killers. Rajiv Gandhi was killed for decisions he took as a PM of India. In short, his killing was not an act against an individual but an act against India as a state. His killers (including those who were directly or indirectly involved) should have never been pardoned. It will set a very dangerous precedence with catastrophic repercussions. How can we then expect any future PM, CMs, Ministers & / or Top Government Officials to take decisions in the interest of the country without fear or favor? Jai Hind.
