There is only one thought to this. Is this really a method of escape? Because we all know they don't care and will monitor whoever they want, and not having technology makes this potentially far worse. They know where you are regardless (satellites, tracking of all kinds, AI, etc.) and if they wanted to target you as well, there would be virtually no defense, aside from things you can possibly make without tech.

POTENTIALLY? Are they high on glue?!?!!! There will never ever be a time for technology like this for human use. How many people are seriously living with conditions that prevent movement from the mouth down? This is absolutely invasive. Where is a person supposed to go for help if this technology is being used against a persons will, or in a way they are in complete disagreement of? Can control thoughts of mice in a lab? That means they can absolutely stimulate thoughts and responses. And who’s to say this reads in one direction, from person to computer? Couldn’t it be used to brainwash people if the feed were reversed? Who would be in charge and where would people get help?

Great, so now robots have faces with human-skin, A.I. is becoming more aware than ever, and the gubbament is creating mind reading technology. Truly this is the dystopian future we were all promised in movies 😑

To any Star Trek fan reading this the Romulans and Section 31 would be all over this.

Anyways, Orwell didn’t even intend his 1984 book to have a sad ending, more like a bittersweet but hopeful ending. There are dystopias more distressing than 1984.

My cell phone does this to me already. I swear the things I think that I plan to look up later without saying out loud will be in a suggested ad or a suggested front page video.

These devices can read only the amount of brain activities or activate/stimulate brain activities but, not reading the actual content as "text/words/symbols" . its too early to invent that kind of devices. we are still safe about that.

I am already under CIA mind control....

I knew something like that was happening. I think of something and almost immediately I start seeing commercials or content relating to the thing I was just thinking about even though I hadn't done a search or spoken verbally so the phone recording device could pick it up. This is crazy.

We already have phones for all those manipolations.

I think they’ve had this technology for a long time. The algorithm shows you something you just thought of. Not even safe to think.

I wrote about this exact issue in "Wait, why DIDN'T you get your brain scanned?" on Medium... folks will be flying to whichever country allows brain-scans, so that they have a PROOF of their CRED in the dating market... THAT is specifically what tilts the issue into the public, regardless of what laws are passed here.

Also want to give recognition to all those impacted by injury. This can give them autonomy to use computers, control lighting, make phone calls, even shop on Amazon. So much freedom to do what you want, without needing to call someone for help first.

They should do with all of the data, from phones, computers, social media, etc. It should be illegal to sell and or capture any sort of data.
