I'm a dad with 2 daughters and an awesome gamer of a wife. When I have the off chance to sit down with my 8yo daughter and play my guitar, she wants this. She has never heard the words, the drums, seen the video. She has only heard a mix of lead and rhythm, and it makes me so happy that she literally whistles the outro

My brother-in-law was the bass player for several years, and I remember the Christmas we spent with him and he brought this video on DVD for us to watch before it has been aired on TV. So awesome. Those were the days.

+Nicholas Manoukian it wasn't too early on. He was with them for about 5 years and recorded with them on Shadows are Security. He's in the Through Struggle and Confined videos doing the clean vocals. That was a great time because I got to be backstage at shows and meet some awesome bands. my favorite people were Killswitch. Adam D was at Clint's bachelor party and bought me a beer. We had a great conversation about film scores and whatnot. Great memories!

i can't help but think of that interpretation video every time I heard this song....bitter sweet.

I love how directly after the double bass solo(???) (1:20) the entire song slows down just bringing the center of attention back to to the lyrics that this is a song of sorrow. Almost as to show the anger leading up, and after, acceptance to it all. Love this song

Man after all these years this song still kicks, I had some good times driving around blasting this album.

I still remember those chills I got in 2003 when I heard that double base pedal breakdown

For those of us that are here that remember when this song came out at the time it was something fucking else. We still come back because it hit so hard back in the day, we will never forget it.

This song is so fun on guitar, such a great song. RIP As Il ay dying you will be missed :(

I was fifteen when my friend showed me this song and was like “dude he has TWO pedals hooked up to his kick drum so he can play drum rolls WITH HIS FEET!!!” This was the moment I knew I was going to be a drummer.

one of my bands had the pleasure of opening for them way back, it had to be around 2002 2003 when we did it, was nerve wrecking cause we was not on the same level as these guys but it was an amazing show. one show that we played that i'll never forget.

first song and album and I listened to by these guys and became a huge fan and seen them live in 2007

This and my last serenade, was top in my metal-core list
