AS EARTH IMPLODES--LOVING JESUS MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE, IS WHAT WE MUST SEEK
1-All of us have someone we admire. Maybe a coach, a teacher, a counselor, a pastor, or a friend. We sit up when they come into the room. We pay attention to them when they speak. Their opinion matters. We don’t want to disappoint them. We want their approval.
2-All of us also have someone we emulate. We like how they do things and how they say things. They are an example to us. They model what we want and hope to be. We learn from them. We get inspired by the,
3-Jesus wants to be all of those things to us. The best friend, the perfect coach, the treasured mentor, and the one we want to be like.
But Jesus found something wrong in the Ephesians saints. Their blood pressure was up, and their arteries were clogged. Their hearts had experienced a gradual buildup of other things, so Jesus was no longer holding the position of first place in their hearts. He wasn’t first in their schedules, in their concentration, and all that signaled that He was no longer the supreme ruler of their hearts and lives.
In ancient math, when you added up a column of numbers, the sum went to the top.
Jesus started adding everything up, all of Ephesus’ great works, but He found that the sum total of their lives did not add up to Him. They had “left their first love.”
Jesus wasn’t at the top. He was part of the equation and part of the calculations.
He was important--He just wasn’t the most important. He wasn’t the sum total of their lives.
In modern, American math, the total goes at the bottom. So when someone asks you what the bottom line is, they’re not asking for an explanation of everything that went into the calculations. The Ephesians were overflowing with good works. They labored. They were patient. They wouldn’t tolerate evil. They rooted out false prophets. They persevered.

Yes thank you Pastor Barnett, I'm reading my Bible through, I'm already through 2 Chronicles:0) And have read through most of the New Testimate. I'm taking the challenge you said that to read the Bible as many years old I am....I'm 61 and have a long way to go.
Does anyone know the lesson Dr. John barnett spoke about 'There are no apostles and prophets anymore covered in Corinthians and Ephesians'? I would like to hear his study

That is exactly what I thought when I heard him say that.
I have a question? The scriptures speak of 144,000 sealed of the 12 tribes of YASHER'EL,12,000 from each. Where does it say or even mention that they will be preaching the Besorah to those in the tribulation?? The only thing I find in Scripture refers to them being sealed and standing and learning a new song singing that before the throne and the four living creatures and the elders and no one could learn that song except 144,000 which IT SAYS THEY WERE REDEEMED FROM THE EARTH. If these be redeemed from the earth and stand before the throne how are they preaching the gospel and to all the world? Just wondering in Revelations 14 it mentions what they will be doing but nowhere that I can find in Scripture that says they go out to preach the gospel. Only thing I find is where it says that there will be an angel which will fly in the midst of Heaven having the everlasting Besorah to preach and to all that dwell on the earth and every nation kindred and tongue and people. And he will be saying fear YAHUAH and give Glory TO HIM FOR THE HOUR OF HIS JUDGMENT IS COME AND TO WORSHIP HIM THAT MADE HEAVEN AND EARTH AND THE SEAS AND THE FOUNTAINS OF THE WATERS. This angel is not preaching Yahusha and repentance and salvation through faith by Grace of YAHUAH but fear YAHUAH and worship Him for His judgement has come .. So my question is I want to know where everyone thinks that those that are redeemed out of the Earth the 12,000 from each tribe singing a new song are the ones going to be preaching the gospel? We should not add or take away from anything that the scripture says and because of Darby and many of the pre-trib believers point to this as those who will be preaching in the revelation time but I find nothing says that they will be doing so. What I find is that the scripture explicitly says they will be redeemed from the Earth

@@terry-fn9dj scripture says they were sealed and followed the lamb where he goes. Doesn't say one thing about them preaching the Besorah ( gospel) that pre tribulation Darby claim.

@@terry-fn9dj you are wrong on . This is before New Jerusalem. You need to read the book of Revelations you have a very limited understanding. Read the chapter 12 of Daniel and the entirety of the book of Revelations. Also read 2 Thessalonians chapter 2. Read Revelation

I can answer your question. It’s in Isaiah 49:6, “It is too small a thing for you to be my servant to restore the tribes of Jacob and bring back those of Israel I have kept. I will also make you a light for the Gentiles, that my salvation may reach to the ends of the earth.” In summary, Israel is a light to the nations because Jesus, as the King of Israel, provided salvation for the nations (Gentiles) and then authorized His representatives to spread the good news throughout the world (see Matthew 28:18-20 and Acts 1:8).
