Did you like the monitor? I'm thinking of getting one myself
Gad to see you doing better and reviewing stuff. Is the screen Oled? Thinking about getting it for my Switch oled, but want the picture quality to be the same. Tx and keep up the great work 👍

Nah it’s LCD. OLED Would jack the price up a lot
Looks cool.
hello, whats the response time on the monitor?
Weird, I just bought a portable monitor for my Steam Deck today - the input latency is very good on asus portable monitors. Works great for multiplayer games!
Ordered one today as a second screen under my ultra wide + a portable screen for laptop/steam deck/switch Excited to try it out!
I bought the updated version of their 144hz G1 monitor for my mini PC. It works great over USB-C and now i have a "portable" PC that fits in a backpack. I must say monitor itself runs and looks great. I notice no input delay and i mostly play competitive games like Valorant. Was really impressed with overall quality. But be aware HDR is not supported on this display even tho it says it has it, it doesn't work in win 11. But contrast of the monitor is really good and it has great black colors.

I believe the G1 is the one I just ordered . I wanted it for my steam deck and my switch . How’s the sound?
So, im seeing this comes with a cable and separate wall charger. I doubt it, but would this happen to have a battery insdie for just setting up and playing, no power source needed? I have a Baseus 65w 20,000Mah power bank if need be for powering the monitor. Where I'd use this mostly while away from home, there isnt a power outlet available so thats why I was hoping this(or another if you know of one) woud have an internal battery for use with my Steamdeck.
Can you power this monitor with a portable battery pack? I’d love to get one if it can do this. Thanks
You are one of the most handsome fellows I’ve ever seen, you should be a movie star.

Last name doesn't lie does it
In your portable monitor...can i use 65w power bank direct to the portable monitor?
I bought the 17" A1 Arzopa. It has a native resolution of 1920x1080p but sadly it run poorly at that. Even moving the mouse around the desktop feels sluggish as such it's even worse while gaming. It only became buttery smooth after I set it to 1600x900. That was on my main desktop PC. On the Steam Deck the monitor still has some slight sluggishness even after I set everything to the Deck's native resolution.
Could you give some input? I am trying to decide and there are so many variables, I am not sure what is more important. Some things -- 15.6, 16, 17.3? 1080p, 2k, 4k? IPS, QLED, OLED? Higher the NITS, contrast the better? So I would use it mostly for my Switch/emulation, but wondered if it's worth doing the 2k/4k, qled/oled. Thanks for any info you can provide!

I will help you out. Since you are primarily getting it for the Switch and old game emulation you want to focus on PPI. Pixels per inch. The higher the PPI of the display, the better the image will look on screen. The Switch runs it's games at lower resolutions and upscales them to a max of 1080p. If you play on a monitor designed for those lower resolutions, you will have a better experience. The image coming from the Switch will look sharper, cleaner, and thus be vastly more enjoyable to you. The Switch, and older games are usually limited to 30/60 fps, so you only need a monitor that supports 60 Hz. Getting a 144 Hz monitor won't help you since you can't feed it a single at that speed in your use case. Older games ran at even lower resolutions on older 480i displays. For the best viewing experience in your use case I recommend monitors no larger than 15.6". Any larger and your PPI rating falls off a cliff. You lose clarity in the image and while it will work it will just look really ugly. Arazopa makes some 13.3" portable 60Hz monitors, usually for around $100-$150 USD, that are ideal for the Switch's lower resolutions and your emultion needs. These 13.3" displays will provide a clarity better than 1440p @ 27". Avoid older TN panels and take VA, IPS, or really any other tech other than TN as you will get better colors from those other technologies. As for qled, oled, etc, Don't worry so much about those an prioritize the following when shopping for a display... Price. PPI. Speed of the display in Hz. Resolution of the display. Color Reproduction capabilities. Hope that helps.

15.6" is a screen size. 16" is a screen size. 17" is a screen size. 720p is a resoltuion, 1280x720. 1080p is a resolution, 1920x1080. 1440p is a resolution, 2560x1440. 2K = 1440p, it's just a marketing term to make it easier to label and sell. 4K = resolution, 3840 × 2160. 4K UHD = 3840 × 2160, consumer 4k. 4K DCI = 4096 × 2160, movie theater 4k. NITS = Display Brightness capability. Higher means brighter. Contrast ratio = The difference between blacks and whites. I wouldn't worry so much about this for your use case you previously mentioned.

@@theexile4694 thanks. I did know most of the things in the second reply. I went with a 16” 2k 120hz from UPERFECT. Will use it for the Steam Deck some too. Thank you for taking the time to explain and give your input. Means a lot!

This actually makes me curious to if laptops with usb c inputs can accept a display signal... I'll probably bang my head on the desk a few times to see if it'll work. But there is definitely appeal in having that, it's just too niche for me as I already ended up panic buying a cheap thin ultrabook before the good ole virus.

@@TechSpaceCowboy Oh no, that's not what I mean. I want to see if I can use the usb c port on my laptop to capture the input from the usb c coming from the deck.
I have a one x player mini pro. Can I get 144hz if I use it with this monitor?
Hey I've been thinking of getting this, but first I'd like to ask how's the image quality and contrast on this thing? I used to have a portable monitor, but I didn't really like how the colors looked. Also, have you encountered any ghosting on the monitor? Much appreciated!
@TechSpaceCowboy

Honestly it’s really good. Noticed no ghosting and the contrast is pretty decent for LCD

So I’m having an issue with the switch. I plugged it into the monitor everything works fine. It shows that the switch it charging but the battery life is draining. Am i doing something wrong?
@HenriAGS

Be aware that when you use the switch on a dock, you have a dedicated output for video and an input for power, while in this case, the only cable your using for both (video and power) is the usb-c, so it most likely won't be enough to charge your switch while you game.
Does the monitor work in 40hz refresh mode with the deck?
@TechSpaceCowboy
Жыл бұрын
It doesn’t change to 40hz like an LTPO oled panel can but it would still work when the deck is set to limit to 40

xbox series s ,Nintendo switch, cell phone and gaming laptop is what i'd be using it for and i need something that is low energy consumption for portability do alooot of camping rving anddd sailing and all of which have limited wall outlets lol
Thank you. So if I understand, I can plug my steam deck into this via micro USB and then plug in the monitor using its psu and it will charge the steamdeck while playing and power the monitor? Then can I use the other usb ports for accessories for my steamdeck? Basically not needing a dock?
