Love your work and designs. I would be even more intrigued if you build a pair of bookshelves or floor standing speakers, with a ARYLIC amp in each speaker. By using the software, use the DSP as crossover and left channel on tweeter and right channel on the woofer (or other way around). With the software, one would be able to change the curves, after a room acoustic measurement. Fun project. Future-Fi speaker. But budget might be a bit higher. Although a passive crossover are still hard to beat.

Thank you! I did once try this with my Wireless Multiroom Speaker Build ( kzread.info/dash/bejne/lapkuM2SlqvPopc.html ), since I built two. It has a passive crossover (not DSP), and I was not that impressed with the way the left and right imaging was working. I think that Arylic might have to improve this feature still a bit. There has been many firmware updates in the meantime, and i should perhaps try it again to see if there has been any improvements.

I have a challenge for you, i haven't seen anybody do this on the internet. Make a 2 way bang olufsen beosound 1 clone. It would be interesting to see something else than a box for a speaker

​@@SoundBlab The 4″ SB12PACR25-4-COAX drivers look very good for a point source HT setup - great off axis. For the stand mount, the CRC carbon drivers look interesting - not many designs using these. For the tweeter, possibly SB26STWGC-4. Excellent response, top end, and off axis past 10khz. Definitely priced as high end, but a different tweeter choice could lower it. If you can make the tweeter filter 2nd order, I'll buy your design.😄

I wish Arylic would use a better more powerful amp chip like tpa 3255 the current Arylic is too underpowered for me

I had no idea you could buy spotify and airplay DIY type boards. That is very cool. Have you done any outdoor/weatherproof speaker builds? I've been wanting a spotify amd airplay enabled speaker near my pool but have it be self contained as it is too far to be a zone from the main house system. Thanks for sharing!

Currently the Arylic boards are not ROON ready, but you can use ROON to Airplay to them, for what it's worth.

I disagree. Do you realize how much a piece of consumer gear would cost if it came with this built in?.. It's a great deal. This could turn your build into something that could easily compete with high end brands.
