Arunachal Pradesh: Highway connecting China border washed away by landslide

A significant portion of a highway in Arunachal Pradesh has been swept away by a landslide, disrupting road connectivity with Dibang Valley, a district neighbouring China. The landslide between Hunli and Anini along National Highway 313 was triggered by heavy rainfall in the state in the past few days.
A video from the site shows a stretch of the highway being completely washed away disrupting the movement of vehicles and locals in the area. The highway is also considered a lifeline for security forces deployed in the area.
Arunachal Chief Minister also expressed concern over the inconvenience faced by commuters and instructed authorities to expedite the restoration of connectivity.
According to advisories issued by the Dibang Valley administration, it is estimated that highway restoration will take at least three days. Residents have been cautioned to avoid landslide-prone areas and activities such as fishing and earth-cutting during the monsoon season. They have also been advised against travelling after dusk.

People don't realise that their own families also will be traveling from that same road where they tried to save some amount of money for their own greed......

@@Anonymous-mi6 I know it , but have you checked the quality of the roads they make in NE India, the geography, climate is different compared to Mainland India, they just come and build in the shortest period of time without knowing the proper ecology of the terrain. Example , I am from a district in Assam, and the roads constructed by them are a total failure and needs to be reconstructed again with different design and planning. All they do is complete it in the shortest time and collect the paycheck. I am an engineer, i would like to tell you that.. the terrain here has limitations... It should be checked if it can be excavated, what is its aftereffect when subjected to rain , all these factors have to be taken for.
