Aruba AP25 Unboxing Setup & Review !

In this video I do MULTIPLE WiFi throughput tests with 2.5gb & 1gb connections. I also show size comparisons & how to add the device to the Aruba portal.
Special thanks to the marketing team for sending me this device.

I am a network engineer and we install Aruba IO and Aruba Enterprise products in all of our client's environments. I am thoroughly impressed with anything Aruba puts out. I just installed 2 AP25's in my house with 2.5gb POE switch connected to a PFsense fiirewall which also has 2.5gb ports. I also have the same 1930 switch you have, running my other devices. I am getting killer speeds but not as fast as you. The POE switch I had is a cheap chinese brand with no 10gb SPF ports which is most likely causing a bottle neck. I wish Aruba would release an update model of the 1930 8 port POE with a 2.5gb version.

Also not to mention, the Aruba IO products don't require a license you have to renew every 3 years or so. So the ROI on the products for our clients is high.

Hey Jason. I have been watching some of your videos and trying to learn. Thank you. I’m hoping you can help me with something. I just go Rogers ignite internet fibre 1.5 Gbs down. I want to upgrade my home network. Would an Asus Zen Wi-Fi XT9 mesh system or Aruba instant on switch and access points be better? I want to get full wifi coverage of my house. Does Aruba not provide a firewall? If not will I need one if I go Aruba? Thanks for the great videos.

Andrew, if you can hard wire your ap's it would be 1000% better then any mesh system out there. Buy a router, build a router OR use the ISP"s router, disable their built in wireless, and use a small 8 port POE Aruba switch & some ap's. My fave still are the AP22's. Any questions feel free to reach out.

Hello Jason, thanks for the video IF my clients only have Wifi 4 and Wifi 5 Protocols, will buying and installing these access points will cause me trouble (due to the native support of Wifi 6 from the AP, or I can just disable the Wifi 6 features, and it will be completely fine?)
