Arty Party Ladybug Cake | Vintage Betty Crocker Recipes
This week Melinda is in the kitchen baking a Ladybug Cake from the Arty Party card in the Children’s Parties section. A perfectly round cake seemed like the perfect opportunity to try out the 2004 Betty Crocker Bake ‘N Fill set! Join me as I bake a cake, fill it with strawberries and cream filling, and decorate it like a lady bug. It’s almost too cute to cut into! But I’m glad I did because it was delicious!
Happy Homemaking!

Turning 55 in a couple days. My mom made this for me a couple times as a kid. I still have all her Betty Crocker cards. This cake holds a special place in my heart.😂
This was my youngest daughter's favorite birthday cake.

Of course more than 40 years ago, it was easy to find big black and red gum drops. Used Oreos for the eyes.
I completely understand your reaction when the cake came out of the pan. 😄 This turned out SO CUTE. If I ever see a Betty Crocker Bake and Fill while thrifting it is coming home with me!
Such a fun cake!
This is so satisfying to child me who desperately wanted to know what bake n fill cakes were actually like
My Mom made this for me. What a wonderful cake 🎉 For the dots my mom used grape jelly fruit slices. Back in the 70’s you could get large whole circles.

So awesome your mom made this! It's such a cute idea. I did think about those jelly fruit slices in my search, those would have been perfect if I could have found them!
Awww - a great memory for me! I made this cake 23 years ago for my daughters first birthday. My kids still talk about it because it was so cute!! 🥰
Such a fun cake! Absolutely adorable :)
It’s so round and perfect! :D
