In the early 1970s, Sandoval gained international recognition as a member of the groundbreaking Cuban jazz ensemble Irakere, led by the legendary Chucho Valdés. In the early 1990s, Arturo Sandoval defected to the United States, seeking artistic freedom and the opportunity to pursue his passion for jazz without political constraints.Arturo Sandoval's band, comprising top-tier musicians, is a dynamic ensemble that reflects the rich tapestry of Cuban and jazz traditions.
