None of the opponents Beterbiev faced not even one are better and have the abilties that Bivol, Bivol is faster he knows how to stay of the ropes, he can use his footwork, better skillful fighter , can take a punch and tough, his going to Embarass Beterbiev I guarantee you it won't even be close fight

But against Light Heavyweight Champion Artur Beterbiev Stopped and Dropped Joe Smith Early in the 2nd Round!!! I think Artur Beterbiev Knocked Down Joe Smith I believe 3 Times and Joe Smith had NEVER been Knocked Down Before!!!

@@SamuelJohnYoungIII Joe smith don't have defence his reckless with no footwork, he was looking for a knockout, Bivol is agile, better conditioned physically and mentally,he is smart, patient and he got defence, and he has footwork great jab, throwing combinations higher workrate, he knows how to stay off the ropes. his going to outbox him and embarrass him it won't be close Artur is slow,old,no footwork

dont see how anybody can say Smith is more skillfull than Bivol ... totally different styles. Smith has no movement which is Bivol's strenght and coupled with stamina the key to victory over Arthur. It will be a competitive fight ...

The ring keeps shrinking and shrinking and finally you wanna escape from that ring - you don't want to take further punishment. Look at Marcus Browne - he took a knee and he did not want to get up allowing the ref to count him out. Or look at Yarde turning to his corner for help, or look at Callum Smith's face - a terrible look!

Exactly. Also, Arthur hurt Bivol with a body shot in their fight. Could there be some vulnerabilities there? I guess we will find out.

Bivol punches plenty hard to stop opponents or make them hesitant, which is all he needs to make Beterbiev look ineffectual.

@@Keboomrang cause beterbiev has been dropped by cab drivers and he's too use to be being able to walk guys down and close the gap, he doesn't have the footwork to close the gap on bivol but he definitely wont stop trying to walk him down so he'll be walking onto shots. I think his brain can only sustain about 8 rounds of that till it's night night

@@DRS659 another one who underrate Beterbiev. No body outboxing Beterbiev yet! Usyk did not outboxing beterbiev and Usyk was Knockdown 2007-2011-2012. Kovalev never outboxing Beterbiev and Beterbiev won twice in amateur. Beterbiev beat a bunch of Bivol in amateur. Gvozdyk (same school than Loma and Usyk) was better than Bivol and Beterbiev.KO Gvozdyk. Bivol picked Lyndon Arthur who is not ranking top 15 in WBC, WBO and IBF. He was ranking #12 WBA instead to fight Gvozdyk. Bivol run away from Gvozdyk. Bivol don't land body punch. It's the only way to beat Beterbiev. Bivol beat nobody except the little Canelo.

Could be a similar outcome to Chavez v Taylor ,Bivol May outbox him but take a lot more damaging punches and never be the same again .

People misunderstood the real story. Sparring with Beterbiev was the worst thing he has ever experienced in life even tho he had a car crash. The real story is, having a car crash is easier to experience than having a sparring with Beterbiev.

beterbiev skils are underrated, bivols power is underrated. But the thing that makes the biggest difference is the defense, footwork and speed. Bivol is much faster, far superior defense and footwork, beterbiev leans in often with his power jab to close the distance, which works against every fighter, but for bivol this is precisely what he wants, his triple jab and inside out will just tee off all night if that is his game plan, that forward pressure doesn't work at all against bivol. The only way to defeat bivol is with footwork and fighting on the outside to create openings on the inside or being a counter puncher with a great jab, beterbiev is a very average fighter on the back foot, but an almost perfect fighter going forward, bivol has all facets covered. But of course, if bivol makes a mistake, beterbiev is the one fighter that will punish him for this and then it's different. But obviously bivol should be the favorite if we are talking overall boxing.

Even small Saul Alvarez could press Bivola to the ropes, but he did not have enough power to beat Bivol, and the absolutely stupid tactics of hitting his hands did not bring anything good to Alvarez. Beterbiev is a strategist, he is many times more powerful than Alvarez, he always has a plan, his combinational work on floors in a narrow corridor, work on the counter, counterattacks, constant hanging over the enemy - all this together gives results. Artur Beterbiev is like Khabib in MMA, he doesn’t seem to do anything supernatural, but he always dominates and destroys his opponents. The only thing is that age can let you down. It’s not just that Bivol’s team was in no hurry to let their boxer, Beterbiev, be devoured.

Sorry but this is complete nonsense on many levels, I am fine with someone choosing beterbiev over bivol, because everyone is free to an opinion. but firstly we both know there was certainly no ducking on either side, beterbiev was injured for a long period, during this period bivol already had fights scheduled, then beterviev already had the smith and before that the other smith fights prepared, so neither of these men are like other boxers, they will fight anyone. But let's pretend this hasn't been said, your assessment of the canelo fight is poor, it was certainly not canelos plan to hit the shoulders, it's bivols absurd defense that caused this, something which beterviev does not have, often gets hit, canelo couldn't move forward or keep him on the ropes, because bivol has too much footwork, defense and power to keep him there, there have been huge fighters all his life trying to do this, it has never worked, he has fought guys much bigger than beterviev, but I will admit, this is his hardest fight and beterbiev has very underrated boxing skills due to his amateur boxing background and he is more technical than some "brawler" but he is horrible on the back foot, his power jab is amazing but also terrible, he leads with his head down, something bivol does with no punch, this is bivols favorite exchange, the opponent goes in to close the gap and bivol already has 3 power jabs to make them not move an inch, then we have defense,beterbiev only has the phonebooth guard, very open which is why he has been knocked down twice and lost rounds. Because he is very very tough and a warrior so he moves forward but he is sloppy with his guard, then you have his footwork, more impressive than most people think, very good at closing distance, the problem is his footwork completely dies on the back foot. so you have a slower, older boxer with a lesser resume, with worse footwork and defense that cannot fight from the outside nor the backfoot, but is a freak of nature with power and technique on the inside. So the odds should be 70/30 bivol. but of course, if bivol somehow makes a mistake and gets emotional and sits down on his punches in a dangerous position then beterbiev can catch him and knock him out, otherwise there is just no way he can outbox him. But make no mistake im a HUGE fan of beterbiev and the man he is and his morals, both humans are fantastic and exceptional fighters!@@user-kn9gx7bh4l

You make a few good points But ONE is flawed… as It is unlikely that Bivol will have Beterbiev on the back foot. The difference in pressure & punching power is simply too great

Well yeah I agree if he can close the distance repeatedly of course, bivol is done, there is a reason he has 20 stoppages because if you let him do what he wants to do it's over for anyone, but I just cannot see it happening, because bivol LOVES the counter power jab, which always puts any fighter in a stuck in the mud stance, off balance, which is why then he has time to tee off and bring it back in the middle and one of beterviev worse traits is he ducks and leans head first with his power jab because his offensive footwork closes such a great gap, but he forgets about his opening. I really think the only way beterbiev can win is by bivols mistake, perhaps a feint by beterviev followed by a miscalculation by bivol that opens the body for a brutal liver shot that then allows him to tee off and finish bivol, something like this is the only way! Because Bivol is just superior everywhere excluding power!@@hasansaif-ch5th
