Absolutely love the black acrylic paint. It made the flowers pop and that was the goal. Beautiful card.

The doilies addition makes it look so delicate.

The finished card is Beautiful! Love the black. The black wasn't what lost the background, it was the sentiment. However, it works. I've learned, Art Tells Us what it really wants to be, We should Listen. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I'd love to see you do another card with that background. I'm guessing, Art will show you 52 different ways with it. 🤣🤣💜👏🏾👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

I do like it better with the black acrylic paint. The flowers definitely pop and are more defined. Layering is part of the fun of doing mixed media. Totally agree with what you’ve said. Trying new things is how we learn and discover something we never would have thought of.

I like the black - the background is still there on the right side of the card, though I'll probably change the sentiment by typing it on card stock with a small font. I appreciate you not being freaked out when a card ends up different from what you expected it to be - that's going with the flow in making art!

The stencil is beautiful, i loved how it was just after you put it down, that would absolutely make a beautiful and somewhat simple card. But your decision to add black really was the best. It definitely managed to "marry" all the elements on the card and I LOVE the result too. Well done!

The black background really makes the flowers standout. I prefer it. The words are what became to loud. Maybe they should have been tinted a little. Turned out very nice.

Love your channel. I increasingly find that I am a minimalist. I would have stopped at 1:45, lol. But I really like how it turned out with the black, I definitely think it makes the flowers pop and I love it. My honest question: does there always have to be a (floral or animal) focal point or a window, and one or more words? Are there other ways of adding minimal interest for someone who prefers the simple version at 1:45? I would really love to see alternative, minimal ways of adding interest. Perhaps you could see this as a challenge?

I do like the black better. I've learned a lot from you. Do you ever get discouraged when something doesn't turn out the way you'd like, or you don't know what to do next? Sometimes I do, and I wonder what am I doing this for? For fun, of course. But it's not fun getting discouraged. I really have to fight the perfectionist in me...always have!

I definitely like the outcome of your full deck challenge. I like the black it definitely made the flower pop. I also like when it was just slightly outlined because yes it did give you more of that background. However I think the outcome was a surprise for me and I definitely loved it. The white words I think were a little white on the background however I still loved it. I love love that stencil where did you get it? I love watching your videos I love learning from you and I have to say that you put out some of the best videos for the very beginner like me and the advanced person in my opinion thank you so much I am learning so much from now

So sorry but I must admit this is not my favorite as a stand alone card. Perhaps in a group or the whole deck it will fit in perfectly. I do appreciate you sharing this with us. I agree it’s very helpful for us to try something new and learn in the process.

I like both ways, however the sentiment could have been knocked back a little. I’m a fan of black so I may be biased in liking the final piece. You’re a great teacher.
