'Arts engagement can help to reduce cognitive decline in older age. For example, we found that activities like going to museums, galleries, the theatre, concerts are actually associated with a slower rate of cognitive decline in older age independent of all the other factors in people's lives. We also find that these activities are associated with a lower risk of developing dementia.'

    I am an artist and wondering what you mean exactly? Do you think artists have more ill health than the general population? Do you know of any evidence to support this?
